Behind you
I'll give you a big kudos if that's correct and I was impressed with Michigan's o line as well but I actually think Ohio States defense is superior to Michigan's defense which is
A bizzare thought considering the stark contrast in the defenses last year. I think Ohio State wins by 7 to 10
Will be interesting. I think Michigan goes in and runs, runs, runs and grinds out possessions and the clock and keeps OSU's dynamic offense off the field and out of rhythm. That OL is too physical and Corum is a beast.

Mich hasnt beaten anyone, but that doesnt mean they arent really really good.

I hate the CFP at this point. Its crooked af. Someone said do an NIT playoff for the 2nd tier teams and that would be 100% better than watching ESPN pick their fave brands of the year yet again.

Between this and realignment, just losing a lot of my interest in CFB. Honestly will be surprised if I still have season tix and am a fan 5 years from now.

CFB seems about as top heavy over the last decade as I can remember but maybe that's just because the CFP just exposed that.

The expansion seemed good but even this first round shows how that's going to go. Or will they have auto bids for conference champs?

Is it too much to ask to have an expanded playoff without dipsh*ts setting the rankings?

CFP chair Boo Corrigan on TCU being one spot behind Alabama: "We're looking for a balanced team, offense and defense. They've gotten behind in games."

The fix is already in.
lol so wins don't matter.

you have to be ahead 20+ points consistently?!

Alabama lost to Tennessee and was down to Texas and also A&M went toe to toe vs. them.

Fix is def in.

What crock of ****. But it is predictable. Bama still has a spot in the final 4 regardless of what the dumb rankings this week say. It’s their spot to lose. This is exactly why the expanded playoff is so necessary.

Having seen both Michigan and OSU brutalize Iowa, there's no doubt in my mind that Michigan is the better team. Their OL is absolutely legit and for much of our game manhandled our front 4 in a way that OSU didn't even come close. I think Michigan is going to run through OSU, I could see both making the final 4.

Yeah I was actually at that game and Michigan's o-line was nasty. I was sitting in the south endzone and it was pretty impressive watching them open up holes.

Which is fine but they better score. OSU will get their points.

Hidden CFP Formula:

*Start with number of on-field losses
*Play in B1G or SEC: Subtract 1 loss (yes, you can go negative)
*"National" or "Historical" Brand: Subtract 1 loss
*Re-rank with new number of "adjusted" losses

Tennessee: -2
Ohio State: -2
Georgia: -2
Clemson: -2
Michigan: -2
Alabama: -1
TCU: 0

Ta da!

Wins and resume have never mattered.

Brand and perceived eyeballs are all that matter.

Let's have our own playoff for everyone else! With blackjack! And hookers!

Plus ESPN has WAY too much skin in the game. Fox entering the CFP when it expands will be a really good thing for the Big 12.

I don't think so. Michigan is going to roll over OSU. We'll see. Either will kill Illinois.

I hate when committee starts talking about playing style in any way. That should be irrelevant to the process. Who have you played, who have you beaten?

And yeah, you can skew or spin that, too, but it eliminates most of the eye-test bs.

fan favorite stewy with some actually decent writing:

I’m sure brand bias plays a factor because the committee members are human beings who have watched Alabama play dominant football for 15 years. But based on committee chairman Boo Corrigan’s comments Tuesday night, they don’t like TCU’s 77th-ranked defense, which they blame for the Frogs having to come from behind to beat both Oklahoma State and Kansas State at home.

“We felt like the defense struggled to keep points off the board at times,” Corrigan said.

One might counter that Alabama needed a last-second field goal to win at Texas, a last-second stop to beat Texas A&M (albeit without Bryce Young) and in fact lost a football game, at Tennessee, in which it allowed 52 points. The most points TCU has allowed in regulation was 37 against the Cowboys. But Corrigan made a point of citing the Tide’s “dominant” wins over 5-3 Arkansas and 5-3 Mississippi State. Not mentioned: TCU’s 55-24 win over 5-3 Oklahoma.

If I’ve learned anything over nine seasons of this silliness it’s that the committee selectively cites whatever it pleases to justify whatever decisions it makes. Tennessee being No. 1 thanks to its two top-10 wins, or Clemson being above Michigan due to its three Top 25 wins, are fairly obvious resume-driven choices. In this case, however, TCU has more Top 25 wins (two) than Alabama (one), has beaten more teams with winning records (four) than Alabama (three) and, of course, has one fewer loss.

The irony and hypocrisy in him writing this line is comical.
