7 is too many points. The weather could work in our favor as their strength is at the skill positions on offense so hopefully that slows them down. Still hard to have any faith in our offense though.

We play close enough to lose.
The real wonder will be whether we were close because we're gritty or close because teams don't have to give their best, and can count on grinding their way to a win against us. Jury will be out on that for a couple years.

Either way, until we prove better, we play close enough to find a way to lose.

This seems like a great way to make some money by taking WVU to cover the spread, WVU to win by 0.5+, under in points as well for the parlay.

I wasn't brave enough to bet this at the sportsbook this afternoon. I put Iowa State ML (-230) on a parlay ticket with Tennessee +8.5 vs Georgia

WVU to cover and the under seems like easy money.

WVU outright also seems more likely than not. IDC what the metrics say -- our offense is total trash, and we won't score enough points to win.

I hope to eat my words, and I even put money on WVU myself at +235. I'll be happy if ISU wins, and take grim solace in the comfort of cold, hard cash if ISU loses.

I usually follow the rule of don't bet on teams you care about, but this game might be an exception. I feel like the wrong team is favored.

I would guess Home Field Advantage plus the Mountain Men do not have a very good road record this year and is on the verge of Firing Their Football Coach!
.....and remember GO CYCLONES!
Didn’t they lose their running back too? They are actually pretty banged up all around.

I’d still, absolutely, take the points here.

The problem with that is, we always seem to have trouble with the backups

I've watched way too much ISU football this year to pick Iowa State to cover a spread this large. This will come down to the wire, winning team by 4 or less.

It feels like if we're going to win, we need to win by 10 or more. We're so terrible in close games.

But feel like it could go either way. I could see us winning by 3+ TD's. I could also see us losing by 18 or more.
