Young teams should improve as the season progresses. This team seems to be getting worse.
The perceived regression is not accurate I don't think. I think we've simply played the 2, possibly 3 worst teams on our schedule right away. After today, I'd say Iowa is maybe better than WVU. But that's it.

We are back to normal

Is Manning or Campbell back to calling the plays?

Why? When will they learn? Now it's 10-7 at the half and WV is back in it for a close game.

We do not do well in close games.

What was it? Three consecutinve 3 and outs on offense to close the half? Did we just try to go conservative there again?

I don't get it. Try to score as much as you can. 3 and outs put a huge burden on the defense. They will eventually break. They did and here we are.

Which team will show up for the 2nd half?

His halftime interview there was even more coach-speak than normal. I have no clue what he was talking about. Right now The Process isn’t loving us back.

He did say “it’s the little things” though. You know….. the margins. Where we’re one of the worst teams in the country.

Yeah if next year is similar than I think at least it's an option.

After last year's weirdness and this year just kind of flatlining it's fair to question what exactly is happening with the program.

Campbell seat needs to be at least slightly warm right? He’s not completely safe from any blame and consequences of this inept **** show.

NO Idea why he is so stubborn. The only reason they have been losing is because of the offense and special teams. But refuses to make a significant staff changes on that side. Some would say that is inansity.

Give some offense coordinator and OL coach from the G5 a shot at the big leagues

He won the Fiesta Bowl and has quite a lot of support so if he leaves it will be only when he wants to leave. Even those stellar ESPN announcers say this season is just an aberration, I.....really hope they are right for once.

I think everyone watching and listening knew WV would score to end the half no matter how far they had to go and no matter how much time was left

watching other games at halftime and I truely believe that it doesn’t matter who is calling plays because our offensive players don’t have that quickness or sudden burst needed to make big plays

Please no, not the CPR relentless need for “explosive plays”. It was as if CPR never recruited the offensive players. Same thing occurring with CMC.

The game is basically over at this point. The opposing team’s coaching staff will come out of the locker room with adjustments; ours will not. Not enough of a lead to forestall the inevitable.
We haven't even had our signature turnover or blocked punt yet.

The scheme is terrible but it is pretty easy to see the disparity.

The stubbornness may stem from having lack of options. The talent level of the team is still lagging behind the rest of the conference. That's still on him for recruiting misses, but my guess is that that's why we don't see changes in the play calling or scheming week in and week out

Every coach wants explosive plays.

Agree. Iowa State's offensive players really do look slow. For Big 12 standards anyway.
