Initial Takeaways (Macro-View to the Season):

- Watson first off bench was interesting to see, he's got the size and athleticism to grow into a nice player.

- Holmes and GK got it going and I assume we see those two as our primary scores/shot makers throughout the season.

- Big Rob Energy.

- Osun didn't look as if he was going at his highest gear (I assume that changes as the competition increases).

- Clones were active on D and took advantage of a horrible team. Solid start.

This team seems to be better at getting to the FT line and cashing in as well as having a guy like Osun that they can run a play for to get an easy bucket. Should help us avoid those brutal scoring droughts from last year.

Obviously the competition was nowhere near what we'll face, but I'm still pretty impressed with the way this team played. Every guy that came in looked like they belonged, and contributed in some way. Might be the best overall front court depth that I can remember. The offense surely looked more fluent than they're going to be (we struggled a little bit in the half court), but there are some guys who can generate points.

Watching some other games tonight, IUPUI is on a whole different level of bad. Can’t make any statements about our team after tonight.

We got a lot of length out there. I think all the transfers and freshmen had some real bright spots tonight.
