Imagine how our offense would look like if we trotted out our 3rd string QB for 3 quarters.
OLine and RB talent should be adequate for the rushing attack being at least average. But we are just bad running the ball: currently 66 yds on 29 carries, 2/3 ypc. Completely unacceptable against this pathetic defense. Need massive shake up on the offensive side of the ball in the off season.
Its probably time to admit we're on the downward slide of the campbell era.
Its easy to blame Manning, but a lot of this is likely Manning delivering what Campbell wants. He's said as much himself, he's in this offense. His stubborn refusal to change glaring issues that have existed for multiple years will probably result in him getting fired in a couple years, but not before a couple more bad seasons in the interim.

In his press conference this past week, Gundy's response on if he was surprised Heacock was still in Ames, and he said 100% yes he was. Quite the question given someone poached his DC last year.

I suppose ending the season with a wet fart in white pants may be a good thing. Somehow falling down the stairs into a bowl game might falsely mask some of the ineptitude.
