Was disappointing to see that ISU appeared to have never seen a zone before. Glad for the win and I'm sure coach will make adjustments going forward.

Kudos to our girls (Emily) for clutching up and toughing out the W.

If it were based on talent, UNI had no business being in that game but they played real hard, got momentum and totally outcoached us.

Perfect! Played like complete crap against a feisty and determined in-state rival yet still won. Exactly what you want in November with a team who wants to make a serious run this year. A lot to work on and now we know what we need to address.

@clonedude Go cheer for the following:

South Carolina women’s bball
Georgia football
Kansas men’s basketball

Thank god UNI can't shoot free throws - 11/21 woof.

The play against the zone is the exact same thing they did a year ago in the 4th quarter to come back. It boggles my mind that CBF who played zone for years can't figure out UNI's zone.

@UNI in these in state games is a ridiculous home court edge. No surprise Fran ended it for the men.

UNI’s pg was going nuts during that run.

Ok buddy…. just calm down. Your anger issues are making me concerned for you. Relax! I’m not as horrible as you think. Hating on people is never a good thing. I have no ill will towards you.
Nobody hates you, and I am not even close to angry. It’s cute you think you would have that much of my attention. Your negativity all of the time is obnoxious and not needed around here. There’s the story of Chicken Little and then there’s the sequel called Clonedude

Our coaches should feel very grateful to get out of there with a win. We had no in game adjustments to handle Bofelli (like stop switching on D at the top of the key), and our girls looked like they'd never seen a basic zone defense before.

I give credit to our ladies for gutting it out and making big plays when all of the momentum was on UNI's side.

I rarely ever say this, but we got out coached big time tonight. I feel badly for UNI because those ladies deserved better.

The only solace that comes from this is that Iowa had a tough one with Drake a few days ago....we're always going to get the best from Drake and UNI...but we also played poorly, and I don't understand some of the coaching and scheming tonight

Yeah, we gotta get better at a ball reversals and dribbling out of doubles against a zone, but this is an in-state game I was just happy to get out of with a win.

Should give plenty for Bill to be upset about in the post game presser instead of having to make stuff up to be upset about.

I think UNI out scored us in the paint... not a good sign

it would be really fun for the men's game though...I get why Kansas and K-State refuse to play Wichita State, but the environments are always a blast

Guess what…. if I were a huge fan of all those teams…. I’d be critical of them too when they aren’t playing well.

It’s what fans do…. because they care. The day I stop caring about ISU athletics, I’ll stop posting…. and then maybe you won’t hate me anymore and your blood pressure will return to normal.

yeah, but it's also an away game that is not too far away that you should in most years easily win. I still think we should be doing home and homes with Drake and UNI (or maybe a 2 for 1 or such). An early road game is good for a team long term I think, and you won't be too punished if you lose it either.

It’s also different from football where if you happen to lose one of these games oh well. It sucks but your season isn’t sunk in any way like a loss in football does. It’s good for the game to have these types of matchups.

Do not bash Donarski. She was exhausted having to chase their PG all game and then switch to a bigger player who moved her easily. Defense was dumb - CBF either forgot what a zone was ( doubtful) or he purposefully stayed with it to get team to gut it out for upcoming conference games( likely). Go Cyclones

Waiting for the post-game to hear CBF's explanation - he seemed remarkably uninvolved - would normally have taken time-out. Reminds me of an old Larry Eustachy (sp) comment to the effect they got themselves into this mess, let them work it out.

90% chance our 13-0 startlast year is 12-1 if we’d played there. It didn’t seem to matter if we had a good team coming in or not.

I guess it can be a learning experience but I got to think of it almost like @ku in terms of expecting a win.

So nobody else on here cares as much as you then I guess because in your words the more critical and negative you are, the more you care. Yet somehow the vast majority on here can find a ton of positive and great things while pointing out bad things and being critical all at the same time.

I genuinely feel bad for you. How can you actually enjoy cheering for Iowa State or any team? You talk about blood pressure? Check your own pal. I’m just peachy over here.

I don't know if anyone is bashing Lexi on here. She didn't haver her best game, but yeah it still wasn't that bad.
