Reputation-wise, maybe. That said, Pusilic has talent that neither Dempsey nor Donovan have, though. Pusilic has pretty much spent his entire career playing and training with the best clubs in Europe, whereas both Dempsey and Donovan had to work their asses off in America just to get looked at over there. That should tell you what the best in the world thinks of his talent.

By the end of his career, Pusilic will have far surpassed both.

That is also why I used the word "prodigy" - Pusilic is; Dempsey and Donovan weren't.

The only one I'd put him with recently is Howard.

At this rate Pulisic is going to have to play in the EPL for 30 more years to get to Dempseys tally.

If he does what he did in the first in the second I’m going to have to take back some of the things I have said about Tim Ream. Great half in the middle of the pitch.

He doesn't have the longevity yet of those two, but as far as actual talent and skill he surpasses those two, and it's not really close. You don't judge on just international. You judge on their every day club. Pulisic at Dortmund and Chelsea blows away Dempsey and Donovan.

Edit: Pulisic has 33 goals with Dortmund and Chelsea. Donovan had 2 with Everton. Dempsey had 57 I think between Tottenham and Fulham.

How many does he have with Chelsea in the PL? He’s a great player but he’s not anywhere near on the pace of Dempsey for International or Club.

Christian barely plays for Chelsea. Dempsey in terms of production in the Premier League is on another planet. In all but his worst season he equaled or surpassed the goal totals.

Love Christian. But in terms of production - he's not Dempsey.
Talent wise is he better? Sure. But in terms of on the field production? No.

--------------------

regardless, really hope the boys can finish out the match and get us these 3 points. I want Christian to score every match but especially if he could get one or two against England that'd be massive

That first part hits hard as an Arsenal fan. Watching Clint Dempsey tear up every so called “new prodigy” that came through Arsenal was quite frustrating.

The defensive covering has been really good so far. Hopefully Berhalter doesn’t **** this up with some crazy lineup changes.

He scored important goals against big clubs. That’s what I remember his time in the EPL for. Just a different level of charisma and attitude that Pulisic will probably never get because he’s so “highly rated” he’s going to bounce around big clubs riding the bench instead of going to second tier club and becoming a warrior. That’s not to say that’s his fault.
