Nothing like a **** possession from the backup QB with his mouth guard hanging from his helmet the whole time

My biggest concern for next year is that we find out that CMC had more to do with the offense than Manning. I suspect that the delays in getting the plays called were in part due to the conversations over the headsets between CMC and Manning. Could that be one of the reasons that CMC was so defensive of the play calling last week?
I unfortunately think you may be correct. Campbell is pretty hands off with the defense from what I understand, so I'd guess he's pretty involved on offense.

Amazing group on here. Just this year people were freaking out that Nebraska was going to hire Campbell now we are questioning he should be our coach? lol.

1) Campbell will be our coach next year.
2) Campbell will at least get rid of Myers (should be demoting Manning but probably won’t).
3) If at least #2 doesn’t happen, Campbell’s seat is hot for 2024 if we have another dud of a season in 2023.

The guy took us to our first and only Big 12 Championship and won our only New Years 6 game. Also owns the highest winning conference record in school history. We owe it to him to make the staff changes. If he is to stubborn to make needed changes then his seat starts to get warm.
And he crapped the bed in that CCG.

Got down 24 to 7 at half playing CampbellBall.

Beat a middling Pac12 team without its best player in the Fiesta Bowl.

All that in the outlier of the Covid year.

One thing I have gotten extraordinarily tired of hearing is that "this team is close".

They are not close. They are what their record says they are: terrible. Absolutely terrible.

90% of that terribleness is the offense and special teams.

How quickly do we think someone will be getting fired in the offseason?
I’d like to find out Monday, but I don’t think anyone is getting fired. Someone might end up leaving to take a different job, one that’s definitely a demotion, but avoiding the “fired” tag. So that means we’re gonna be waiting a while for anything, if it happens at all.

Myers HAS to be fired. Just no other option. Manning should be, but won't.

Not in the next 12 months guaranteed.

Sure. I’m with you 100%. Frankly, I think the whole offensive staff needs to go, except maybe Scheelhause, and he needs to have only 1 position group rather than giving him twice as much as everybody else on that side of the ball. It obviously shows confidence in him, but why do you have 1 guy coaching both WRs and RBs?

Should have happened during the season, but if CMC is serious, tomorrow. They announce tomorrow that people are gone.

As for being close, that is such a silly argument. As if we manage to score, the other team wouldn't match it.

They're just doing CampbellBall against us, albeit better, now.

I love the “Covid year doesn’t count” folks. Fine then, Look at the 2017-2019 seasons and tell me that he was a bad coach. I’ll let you explain that one.
