Iowa State will always be susceptible to droughts when they count on the 3 as much as they do. It happens. And I'm sure will happen more this year.

Some nights they'll hit 15+ 3s and Bill will look like a genius and others they won't. Good with the bad.

Wow. Literally Carolina just ran the same exact play about 20 times in the second half and we never made any adjustments. Such inept coaching and our team just fell apart when faced with adversity. Ashley went into “force it” mode and we made so many dumb mistakes. Gotta hope this can be a lesson to the team going forward. An embarrassing half of play where we just gave the game away.

This is true. People don’t want to here it but look what happens when we play athletic guards from Baylor and Texas, etc. IF we don’t shoot good we lose

Donarski’s 3rd foul in the 2nd quarter, then not playing at all (other than the last 5 seconds) in the 3rd quarter, was huge IMO.

This team has huge potential but you just can’t let them play. When they aren’t making shots it goes south quickly. The bench is lean and their lack of physicality will always be an Achilles.

I guess Bill is letting them play through it to make them stronger or something? It seems that when we can't hit the broad side of the barn, he should call a TO and set up a play to get us a good look going downhill. He confuses me sometimes. He knows a hell of a lot about basketball, but he still confuses this non-expert.

THIS. Coaching was very poor in the second half, but we don't have the athletes....you watch Louisville or South Carolina play (I get they are in leagues of their own), and they are so fast, agile, and can dribble drive. Even as good as Ryan and Donarski are, they can't even dribble drive

I like Bill but this game reminded me of UNI and Crrighton. It’s like his team is so talented that he forgets how to coach. Mismanages timeouts and can’t draw up **** for plays. And what’s maddening is these weren’t issues for him until the last 2 years, which goes back to the beginning, this team is so ******* talented he forgot how to coach.

We didn't need to make adjustments necessarily...we got a LOT of nice looks from 3 due to their doubles...we just missed most of em.

Soares dominated the 1st half…. you HAVE to find a way to get her the ball in the 2nd half down low…. they couldn’t handle her.

But instead we keep launching 3’s when we’re ice cold.
