Keyshawn, Jwill, and Max show just said Colorado is changing their transfer credit process.

I need to rewatch video but didn't he say something about no hats, hoodies, earrings, or cell phones in meetings? Is Deion prejudice?
I like it, it's a discipline thing. Be on time, no hats, hoodies, earrings, or cell phones Just funny how it is being viewed now. The "prejudice" nonsense was just that, nonsense.

You don’t know where you stand, do you?

Where do you stand?

The 2nd post you quoted sums up my stance. The 1st post you quoted was a couple of questions.
I stand by the fact that Deion doesn’t have a history of treating his black athletes with disrespect or that they’re less than, and I have no problem with him saying hats or hoods aren’t allowed to be worn in meetings.

I know what you’re trying to do here and what he is establishing and the culture kirk established at iowa are apples and oranges.

Iowa definitely needed to make some changes. The hat and hoodie thing was blown out of proportion. Just funny that when Deion says it he is "old school".

Oh and for meetings it is ok, but in the football complex is taking it too far?

LOL...yeah, this will either be the biggest out of the box thing that works or a VERY Short term influx that could lead to long term issues. Sit back and enjoy!

When I heard him say "no hats, hoodies, earrings, or cell phones" I immediately wondered if CMC had the same rules at ISU.

I look at these rules as a sign of respect and that everyone is equal in order to be a team.

They can do that stuff when they are outside of a team environment I would suppose.

Many also consider it disrespectful to wear a hat inside another person's house, so that may apply to a hoodie being over the head.

Kirk not only said no hats or hoods, but he also said no durag’s, tank tops, earrings or other jewelry in the football building, and players were discouraged from getting tattoos or having certain hair styles. Everything Kirk said and implemented was directed at black players to strip them of expressions predominantly found in black culture.

Deion doesn’t want hats, hoods, cell phones or jewelry on in meetings. BIG difference. 1. In a professional meeting (in the real world) you typically aren’t allowed to wear hats or hoods and shouldn’t have your cell phone on anyways and 2. Most times in meetings, players are either going to or from practice and all jewelry is “supposed to be” removed for games.

Does all of this make sense or do I need to pull the extra fat crayons for you?

"School, we got school today, right? So I want you to listen to me clearly and succinctly,” Sanders tells the Tigers as they’re gathered inside JSU’s newly renovated team room. “No slides (sandals). No slides. No armpits exposed. No wifebeaters (tank-top shirts)."

This is for going to class.

Does any of that point a figured directly at the black community or limit them from expressing themselves the way “no Durags, no tattoos, no certain hairstyles” does?

Not sure if this has been dropped in here.

If we didn't know college ball was a business. **** your degree. Get out of here.

I don't know if I've seen as many blank stare's in my life. A lot of minds spinning.

Would be curious the $ that CU has committed to Deon for NIL & assistant coach salaries. If he has the money, he is smart enough to hire solid guys. Some of his JSU assistants had NFL experience, so that can be a positive for recruits & maybe Deon can get them a little cheaper if they have banked $ over an NFL career.

Quite honestly videos like this, the NIL alarms for ISU, and a restack of every team through the portal is turning me away from college ball

I haven't had ESPN for years now (other than free ESPN+)

The sport has lost it's charm. It's basically the XFL with better brands.

I still have a lot of interest in college football. What I have seen drop in the last couple years is my interest in the NFL.

But I might not be too far behind you in regard to college sports. It's insane that guys are getting 7 figure payments and its an actual consideration that they can make more money playing college sports vs. playing professionally in the NFL or NBA.

As a fan its a struggle because I don't know the teams any more. It is especially evident in college hoops where a starting lineups have a complete overhaul year-to-year.

You had no tank tops in your first post. You must have forgot to include it in the second one? Not sure I can find a direct quote about Durags, no tattoos, and no certain hairstyles.

Just so I am clear, no tank tops is or isn't directed at black players?

You’re really grasping at straws here bud, no, tank tops is not directed at black players. However, durags and certain hairstyles 100% are.

Your quotes are in here.

Not trying to stick up for Sanders here and
ya, I hear what your saying, but Sanders, imo, is at least being very transparent and candid on what to expect and how things will work before your enrolled in his environment. I’m guessing recruits won’t have a lot of room to be drastically surprised by the actual environment they will be experiencing after they enroll.

You were the one that mentioned tank tops along with hats, hoods, Durags, earrings, or other jewelry. Then you said that EVERYTHING that Kirk said and implemented was directed at black players. So everything except tank tops?

I shouldn't have eaten the extra fat crayons.

This is from the article YOU linked. It looks like tank tops were directed at black players. You will notice that I included the entire paragraph. So Deion must be limiting black players from expressing themselves?

The report said many black players did not feel welcome or supported in the program. Players reported that they were long not allowed to wear 'do-rags,' tank tops, earrings or other jewelry in the football building and were discouraged from getting tattoos or having certain hair styles. Black players said they felt singled out, isolated and forced to suppress their personalities.
