His brothers are trouble (saying it mildly) and father in the mold of Downey. Unless he is completely opposite of them, I wouldn't take my chance. As a buddy of mine said, "he might be a national champ as a Freshman and in jail as a Sophomore."
If the coaches don’t recruit kids because their brother or parents are ass holes, well there would be a lot of open weights in this year’s lineup.

I think Dresser is good at handling these families. Not sure if KJ was as good at it.

I don't think this staff will allow distractions to the team to stay around very long.

Work hard, Do things right and give 100% or the staff will find someone that will

How dare you talk about Nate that way!!!!
I think that Nate (and maybe a little less so David) is the perfect example of a guy who is just nasty on the mat, but a real gem when he steps outside of the circle. I don't believe that he was ever going to be a liability for the team in any way, and he bled Cardinal and Gold. Always seemed like a great guy, but I never stepped inside the circle with him. Opinions may be different with those that did.

You should probably let the coaches know that in case they overlooked that part.
I know damn well they do their homework. This family has been a point of discussion in many conversations I've had over the past 5 or 6 years. Probably why I'm even more sour on the idea.

Looking back, a former ISU wrestler who I thought didn't have a chance in hell to last more than a year let alone be successful, ended up doing pretty well. Maybe the wrestler matured a little, but obviously the staff handled him very well. I have confidence in the staff, but am allowed to have my own opinion as well. It is much easier to cheer for those who are upstanding young men!

Peaking my interest...who was the wrestler?

Should note that those P4P are all class. If you look only at class of 24, it would go Ferrari #2, Lilledahl #3, Davino #4.

I'd take him in a heartbeat with no reservations.
He and his entire family are pure cancer. They've been bounced from every program they've ever been with, from youth all the way up to college. Not sure why someone would invite cancer into a thriving system. IMHO

Because you’re in a position to put some strings on the arrangement and if they don’t toe the line, you shake hands and part as friends.

If they do toe the line, you just brought two top 3 placers into your program.

Kd has both eyes open here. It’s not his first rodeo

Although I am hesitant to add these kind of guys to the roster, you make some good points. Additionally, if they are coachable, and ready to be molded. there is the potential that they get away from the toxic home influence and become a better version of themselves. Someone like Metcalf or KD could be excellent mentors.

Another point I would make is it appears we have super strong leadership in the room with guys like David Carr. The team will probably police themselves to an extent.

This. I think the culture could hopefully handle a couple ass holes.
