Forgive me if I'm a little too excited to seen an American back in F1. Too bad it's in that shitbox Williams but we've seen guys use that as a stepping stone over the last few years to a seat in Mercedes. Here's a little more background on Logan Sargent since we don't hear much out of the Americans that go over there to climb the F1 ladder there. One thing not mentioned in the article is that Sargent was the F2 rookie of the year this year too I believe.

It's hard to get pumped about a guy who is going to have a great day and finish 16th.

Yeah I can understand that sentiment but Williams has been a stepping stone to Mercedes so I see it as a good opportunity for the kid. How many years can Lewis have left in that car before they need a number 2 driver to pair with George Russell?

Good because **** Chinas Covid policies but bad because it’s another relatively slow start to the season. Four races over the first 8 weeks.
sounds like they might try to fill the gap with Portugal or somewhere else.

Not a big surprise here at Ferrari. Still a disaster.

Sounds like he is going to be with Audi when they debute in 2026. Anyone know who Audi is replacing? Hopefully not another top team and they replace Williams/Haas type team. Sick of them not even competing and taking spots in F1 away from teams that want to come in and add more real competition

Pretty sure Audi is taking over Sauber, err I mean Alfa Romeo.

Realistically Audi isn't going to compete any time soon after they join, it's possible, but the big teams have many, many years of a head start on them.

How does Italy get 2 races, the US 3 and nothing in Germany? Do they not support the races? Is it political? This is a serious question. It’s mind boggling to me since they have 2 great Grade 1 tracks in Germany. Nurburgring F1 circuit is one of my favorites on racing games I play.

They made a deal with Sauber. Alfa will be gone. They’ll also be using their own Audi engines when they debut instead of Ferrari.

I think it depends on how well they do stealing engineers from other teams. Red Bull went hard on stealing engineers from Merc when they took over for Honda.

They will still probably will be ahead of Haas and Williams. Probably about around where Alpine is right now. They have 4 years to work out all of the stuff.

It's because Hockenhiem and Nürburgring loose a **** load of money every time they host a race. Most races get a bunch of government subsidies to run a race because of the tourism revenue a race bring but the German races don't.

Makes sense then, thanks for the information. I know it costs a lot, just in fees paid to F1 to even get a race, but it seems to me, with the cost of building and maintaining a racetrack, they would find a way to make it feasible.

Doing some google research, I have found that the German people are fanatics about their drivers, but not F1 in general. Seems they don't show up to races if they don't have a driver fighting for the championship.

It truly is a shame though, the Nurburgring truly is an amazing venue. Everyone talks about driving on the Autobahn, but personally, I'd like to do a lap around the original Nurburgring. I think it's around 30 Euro to do a single lap.

I think I'd like to a lap around the 'Ring by myself, then one by a professional driver (may need a change of pants after that though).
