Great post. Still, would be nice if Rodgers looked his way more often. I don’t always think Rodgers knows everything.
In many (not all) cases I’ve seen: If you drop one, AR might not throw your way more than one more time the whole game.

Lazard had a game-high 11 targets last game (only 5 catches), with Watson next-most at 8 targets. Rodgers seems to like to target guys in bunches, so it often feels like Lazard has disappeared from a game then suddenly gets 3-4 targets on a single drive.

Purdy has the spotlight at the moment, and rightfully so. Meanwhile our boy Lazard just keeps grinding. He's probably at his ceiling and is never go to be a featured WR1, but he lays out to make big catches and does the little things so well. Perfect example above, blocking three and counting them up after. Tough as they come at his position.

Out there counting souls.

This is the NFL. Doing that much damage blocking is world class

Contract year for him so it’ll be interesting to see if they bring him back or not
With Rodgers cap hit next year (60 million)... not sure who they can even try to keep.

As long as Rodgers is in Green Bay Lazard will be there. The way Rodgers has talked about him he demands that he be there. Also, his numbers still make him a cheaper options for a team. He can't demand $20M a year.... probably not even half that. Maybe something like a 3yr/$18M-$21M deal.

I remember watching Allen play with Urbandale at a game in Ames. I recall he was an absolute wrecking ball as a blocker on several wide runs and screen passes. A man amongst boys.

Gotta be a story on why it's not just an even $10,000. What is up with the $609 amount? 203 per tackle?
The fine is weak sauce.

Lazard's salary is almost $4 million this year.
The median person's salary in the US this year is a little under $55K
Ratio wise, this would be a $150 speeding ticket for Joe Schmoe.

He's pretty much the same guy we saw at ISU. A guy who can make incredible catches and inexplicably drop passes. I always felt like if used like Eldleman was at New England, he could be a great #2 receiver. Cobb seems to have that role in GB though.
You have to be extremely quick and be a stop/start savant to play an Edelman role. He's pretty much the exact opposite of that. I feel like Green Bay is using him correctly.

That's a dumb ass and unnecessary fine. They let the whole F*cking team go into the end zone and and do a choreographed touchdown dance after every score.

And is it really taunting if the other THREE guys are sitting on their can and not looking in your direction?

Fine the world class athletes who just got owned by a WR
