If targeting had been called, I know the player would have been ejected, but would the 15 yard penalty and automatic first down have been enforced, even though no flag was thrown?

For one thing, one way a ball carrier can be defenseless is if he is "in the grasp of an opponent and [his] forward progress has been stopped." I would say that could have applied on that play. Also, as someone else noted, if the defender leads with the crown of the helmet, the head and neck area and defenseless player parts of the rule aren't absolutely necessary.
Except as others have noted, the skycam showed he hit with his shoulder not his helmet. The regular broadcast just didnt show that angle to stick to their narrative.

Wow, you are digging yourself a deeper hole everything you say. How do you think ISU stays relevant? Pays for stuff? Maintains the program? How do you think the Big 12 does? Are you really this dense?

Once again ISU's finances are not my problem to worry about so I am not going to worry about them. I get the money of this helps ISU but that's not my concern.

No matter what conference or level ISU is in I am still going to be a fan and cheer for them.

You guys don't think that Bama and UGA being powerhouses every year doesn't negatively affect other teams in their conference?

Hell some of the people with are disagreeing with me are the first ones to freak out when ISU does bad (see clonedude for example).

Georgia doesn't have the pass rush they had last season. Ohio St is going to put up some passing yards on them.

Sure, but someone who puts on a nice front but talks **** about you behind your back isn't that great of a person. That's my point.
Again….. I act differently in my house than how I act in others houses. So… shrug.

I personally don't care about money that's not my responsibility to worry about, the only thing I care about is ISU doing good. And it's my opinion that conference opponents winning championships makes that harder for ISU.
I care about ISU and the Big 12 being on the same stage as the Big Ten and SEC. It has been an uphill battle for the Big 12 the last 15 years to overcome the stigma that the Big 12 is a second tier league. If there is a split in Power 5 leagues, I want ISU to be on the right side of the split. We aren't getting a Big Ten or SEC invite so we have to hope for a strong Big 12. TCU making noise and being 1 game from a Natty helps big time.

Testifying
The ball never crossed the line of scrimmage and hadn't been passed forward before that, correct?
I could easily be wrong. I've been wrong before. I thought the ball went past LOS.

LSU put up 500 in a losing cause! Ohio State definitely has the athletes to hang with and beat Georgia. I have no idea how they let Michigan punk them in the Horseshoe.
