I honestly believe we're better off with Lipsey. Granted we have better posts but Brockington was by far the best player on either team. My point is no more than equal talent and our offense is much better this year.
I kind of want Lipsey to guard Hunter and let Gabe take Carr. I have confidence in Lipsey.

I’m loving the way that Lipsey plays defense. He makes getting steals look so easy. He could pressure Tyrese well and cause fits for him.
I think he's bigger and stronger than Tyrese. Plus he can blow by just about anybody. Would be fun to watch.

Law of average is catching up to him. He started super hot but now it is really close to last year’s numbers shooting wise.
He was below 28% from 3 last year as well. It's turning out he isn't (yet) a great 3 point shooter yet. That will really hurt him in getting to the next level.

I don’t think he will ever be a good shooter from long distance. If he makes to the NBA, it will be due to his defense.

I always felt like he was a decent freshman learning how to play the college game …. I recall a lot of missed easy lap ups and a decent amount of bad turnovers . If it wasn’t for him playing good in the tourney last year I think it would have been interesting seeing him and Tamin competing for playing time this year. I wasn’t all that heartbroken when he said he was leaving.

I always thought I was crazy because nobody here brought it up but Hunter got his shot blocked A LOT. Like a crazy amount in my opinion (no stats to back it up).

Lipsey definitely picks better shots when he drives to the basket.

Did a check in on our former star PG. His stat lines have been not so good since Beard got arrested

Shooting stats aren't listed but I did the math for you. Over the last 5 games hes shot 9-40 from the field(22%), and 4-19 from 3(17%)

His PPG and APG numbers are also down from last year, with the APG almost 2 assists per game

Our boy The Walking Bucket might want to figure out where they're located before calling himself that
This is why I don't fault him for taking the money while he could. He won't make the NBA. Last year he played a ton of minutes out of necessity and got a lot of notoriety for being Freshman of the year in the Big XII because hardly any freshman in the conference played significant roles. He had one shot to cash in and he took it.

There are guys that succeed in the NBA by being excellent defenders, and if Tyrese was 6’6” and/or had a freak wingspan, he’d have a punchers chance. In the modern NBA, at his size, he needs to be able to score to have a chance.

I couldn’t have said better. I thought He was an excellent defensive player but offensively challenged.
