I don't know if there's much that can be read into votes yet, especially considering mafia only has 3 people in it to start. I can't see members tying themselves to each other that early. If anything, the innocent small school group is more likely to do that.

@cyfanatic13, will an announcement be made if the mafia successfully recruits someone?

After thinking about it, I’m not going to.

Part of the game IMO is figuring out how many are left, and one of the perks of the NCAA role is basically knowing how many of mafia/small schools there are so that dampens that role if I were to announce it

I was refreshing around that time seeing what was going on, so if he did plan it he knows what the cf clock is based on, which might not be hard to do but it wasn't it was like it was late. When I refreshed I saw both fitzy saving himself and saltys vote

Really? Normally it is revealed, and I think it matches the theme as recruitment would be public information when they sign.

Bret and Dandy get clapped, JM takes over for the other person, lose Bret/Dandy

Vote Dandy/Bret out, JM takes over for the other

This would change if someone got on and voted.

With everyone having a special power related to their mafia role, it would be in their best interests to do whatever is necessary to keep everyone alive and not sacrifice anyone to look good.

with the lack of activity last night, the mafia likely was fine with whoever was at the top late in the night. The only person that might look sketchy is ctown's vote to possibly save fitzy. It was 2 votes each with me, Fitzy, and JM. JM is inno and I'm inno.

I'm guessing the mafia is hiding out and trying to avoid detection especially with 3 people and 2 or 3 of them having powers that would go away if they were killed.

I don't think it's normally known how many mafia there are. People always guess based on the typical percentages from past games (25-33%).

Sorry, I wasn't talking about the number of mafia members. I was talking about their ability to recruit (same with the good guys). When we've had this type of action in the past, it was always revealed that they tried and if they were successful or not.

By not announcing it, it kinda makes it only fun for the mayor, as nobody else has any clue what's going on, especially with the money values.

I was thinking something along the lines of

"Last night the Big Schools picked up a two star recruit, however they overpaid $X for him". Or

"Last night the small school tried to recruit a 4* player, however he declined due to their lack of funds/sweetening the honey pot."

Mafia starting with 3 this game and hoping to add is interesting. From the below, does this mean that the Bag Man has to bid at least what they're worth and not less? If they bid less, that's not successful, correct? Does the recruit even know if the Bag Man bid for them if it was less than what they were worth? Do I have this right?

For example:
1. Bid too low, not successful, recruit doesn't find out
2. Bid right amount, they are successful and recruit has no choice but to be mafia
3. Bid too high, recruit is given the option to become mafia

I'm leaning towards someone who is posting early and laying under the radar. CycloneNorth and Colorado fit that list.

I’m going to Vote Moores today. I wanna say he and discy were teammates in one of the games from the past couple years (or, maybe a tight alliance - wasn’t there a non mafia game where we all had alliances?), and is aware that discy is a smart player who usually does a good job sniffing out mafia. Makes sense to target that type on night 1…

I can't decide if I'd rather vote for a clapper and limit the damage, or vote away from them since they'll take themselves out.

For the time being, I'll take the limit damage option and vote dandy, but I'm going to try to jump back on before the clock is up to see what's going on.
