This is his first real Hilton experience. Hilton don’t count until the students come back from second semester. I mean it’s still 1000 times better than Carver Hawkeye but it gets lit second semester

This is true but Baylor and Tech were also on fire. Hilton is 100% back - lit for every conference game and not just the big ones.

He did have some off-moments/shots, but seemed to score any time we really needed it.
That seems to be his role: the grinding bucket getter when the rest of the team hits an offensive lull. Between him and Osunnyiyi's inside scoring punch, I think we should avoid most of the devastating scoring droughts we saw at times last season.

A few points...

We are 5-1 and headed to top 10 ranked WITHOUT JAZ. Just ******* insantiy.

Our defense is ******* incredible...just like last year. But the difference is that we are SCORING this year on top of that defense.

We are really really good.
Ward and Watson are really helping out. King is good too.

Great win!!!

I just wish the last 4-5 mins had some more action. It was just the refs calling every ticky tacky foul, guys falling down and flailing trying to get calls…. and just FT’s by both teams for the last 4-5 minutes.

Terrible basketball other than the fact we were winning! That’s the only thing that made the end worth watching.
Enjoy it dude. You bitched the first 15 minutes.

I hope Grill is alright. Back spasms can be a mfer to recover from. It'll take him a while to get out of bed tomorrow...
Needs to put some heat on it. A couple of hot female hands should help his back tonight but it won't help him get out of bed in the morning . . .

Didn't we have that called a common foul against us one game? Even if it was a basketball move, not sure how it wasn't a foul.
If Kunc was in on that play instead of Osunniyi, I'm sure it would have been called a foul. Jaz just seems to play Jedi Mind Tricks on refs and opponents to draw opportunistic and timely foul calls

Unsung hero tonight had to be Osun. Made some critical plays, kept the ball alive a number of times, his energy was really out there, and the guys around him really seemed to feed of his energy at times.

Osun has always been the x-factor for the ceiling. Gabe/Grill improving and Lipsey being a true point guard raised the floor over last year but Osun raises the ceiling.
