Go back in literally every game thread and you’ll see people like you blaming the refs. It gets tiresome. Make FTs, don’t go stagnant on offense, don’t lighten up for 12 mins on defense and we win by 10+. Refs weren’t good but neither were we.

Yeah, missed FTs by Gabe and Shoon were killer. Missed way too many shots at the rim as well.

Have you ever been on a basketball court? The backboard doesn’t sit on the endline, it overhangs the court by 4 feet.

There were always gonna be some more losses this season, so can't be too bummed overall. But that one was very winnable.

Maybe I'm being harsh but enough with the charity minutes for Rob because he works hard. He's obviously a much improved player but he's still not a major-minute contributor at the B12 level IMO. Would love to see what Ward does with some more minutes.

What is the benefit in ISU losing?

Games that have been fixed in that past (and it has absolutely happened) it's to benefit gamblers I don't think the big 12 is out to get us.

Might be time to end the big Rob experiment. He can give minutes against teams with less athletic bigs, but that might have been the difference today. Ward needs his minutes.

Ward and the full court press need more minutes when Osun rests on the bench.

Wide open 3s draw fouls? 100% opposite of what I was told in Hoiball era. I was told you can’t draw fouls shooting 20+ 3s.

First half was a total farce. Should have been massive halftime lead.

While in the big scheme of things it probably won’t be considered a bad loss, watching how that game played out that’s a brutal loss .

That's a really good way to put it. There's definitely a difference between a bad loss and a brutal one.

OSU got by with massive jersey holding. More than I can ever remember

That was a rough luck game. OSU banks in two straight away 3 pointers. They hit several 3s on a scramble at the end of the shot clock. More than half of 50/50 balls ended up with OSU. Couple missed dunks. Officials missed the goal tend. I won't blame the loss on the officials, but they were part of the rough luck.

Time to regroup, get Grill healthy and take down Purple Pussies on Tuesday.

I actually thought it was basket interference on Osun. He attempted to slam it and it bounced up, and he was hanging on the rim when it came back down. When he let go of the rim the ball was launched to the ceiling.

Beating ISU is gonna be the highlight of their season.

Kansas, Kansas St, and Texas will all win down there and that's why we'll finish behind all of them in the standings.

It's the Hoiberg special, win a huge game in Ames then turn around 3 days later and lose to a bad team in front of a half full arena. It's why Kansas always wins the league and we finish 11-7 or 12-6 in our good years.
