Hy-Vee's weirdest business decision yet?

40% of Coca Cola's domestic revenue is from SNAP. Yes, I'm repeating that factoid, but I have no reason to doubt it from what my own eyeballs see.
I wonder what percentage of HyVee's revenue is from SNAP/EBT/Foodstamps? The old one-two non=profit punch: Hunger-Obesity-Hunger-Obesity. Trust your own eyeballs.

How is this a Hy-Vee issue?

Not exactly sure.
Yeah, don't waste your time. The crowd here hate everything Hy-Vee, so anything they do remotely controversial is criticized incessantly. I agree there is plenty they do that is dumb/only money motivated, but they're still the best grocery store in Iowa.

On average, they're cleaner and have WAY more selection than any other option in the state. Sure they're slightly more expensive, but not to the degree people here make it seem. It's probably hard to compare, because Fareway doesn't have half the brands Hy-Vee carries. No doubt Fareway is the meat king, though.
Hey, hey, hey, I still hold that title bud. I ain’t ready to relinquish it yet.

Hy-Vee is literally 2x the cost.
2x cost of Aldi, probably. If you're looking to buy store brand goods, yeah, don't go to Hy-Vee.. try getting a family size pack of spicy nacho Doritos at Aldi.. or a 4 pack of vanilla dannon light & fit yogurt.. or vanilla orange mio.. I could go on - none of those are available at Aldi or Fareway.

I'll gladly pay more for the items I want to buy. I could save a few bucks and shop at 4 different stores, or I could get it all at Hy-Vee.

Exactly. I'll gladly pay the extra for name brand stuff.

I didn’t look up the rest of the junk when I found the Spicy Nacho Doritos at Urbandale Fareway online assuming you were DM metro

Hy-Vee was a very well run business back in the day. Randy Edeker completely destroyed the brand, IMO.

I shop at Hy-Vee regularly but only for 3 items: Freshly squeezed orange juice, cosmic crisp apples and bananas.

I agree but you really have to look over the produce. Really look it over.
Wrong. I get most of my produce from Aldi. Salads, cucumbers, spinach, lemons, peppers, jalapeños, sweet potatoes, onions. All of which are about half of what hyvee charges and just as good.
