If I shared internal content meant for inside my organization only on Reddit, I would be fired immediately.
Are you claiming the person, if known to HV, that shared the internal content wasn’t fired?

They are a private company - period. They don't have to report anything.

I don't see KCCI, DMR, WHO, etc., reporting when Principal, Nationwide, Wells Fargo, etc. change their benefit plans, but Hy-Vee makes a change and it is front-page news.

Doesn't impact me in any way, shape, or form. I don't work there.

It amazes me the people who dump on that company, yet when their community group needs donations, they first run to Hy-Vee and expect Hy-Vee to give them the world.
They dont’ have to report what exactly… and who are you talking about as its unclear?

Iowa news stations report news of each of those organizations…. Layoffs, expansion, other things. So, why isn’t this news worthy for Iowa news stations?

Good for you.

That last sentence is so full of something… hyperbole? Straw men? Fallacies?

Seems like Edeker steered the ship toward the Cliff… I wonder if the new group running it are Peter principle examples. Likely just edeker yes men.
Ok, have to ask. Was the ship on the top of the hill and now going towards the cliffs edge or below and now heading towards the cliffs wall? Because excitement prospects vary greatly.

This feels…. GM level at a HV.
No kidding. I don't even know what that's about. Like a school wanting to buy a new scoreboard where they're also asking someone like Wilson Toyota, Hickory Park, Target, for a few hundred bucks each?

So is your gripe that it broke on reddit? Or are you saying that every HV employee who mentioned to someone that they were losing their discount should be fired, because otherwise it wouldn't have been picked up by local media?

When the largest private employer in the state eliminates a pretty significant benefit, it's newsworthy.

So I went to sams club to buy their freshly squeezed OJ. None of the employees knew where it was and after a while they said they didn’t have any. So that was a swing and a miss. Also their cosmic crisp apples are about half the size of hyvee. I love the huge ones. Hyvee has the best apples from anyone that I’ve seen. That’s too bad was hoping I could be done with hyvee.

One of my favorite stories. I was in a HyVee the Tuesday before Thanksgiving 2 years ago. As you can imagine It was very busy. An old lady (as an aside, old people shopping after work are one of my biggest pet peeves. You are OLD and retired...******* shop in the middle of the day and leave 5:00 to the rest of us.) was looking at the oranges and asked the teenage kid stocking produce what oranges were 'good juicers'. First you are in a HyVee not a Whole Foods. There are basically 1-2 types of oranges period in HyVee, so just ******* pick one. Second, why that old lady thought that a teenager would have a clue is beyond my imagination. Third, why are you bothering with this 2 days before Thanksgiving? Buy a few oranges and hope for the best. The kid was much more polite than he could have been.

Dude try working at Menards and dealing with some of the dirt ball contractors that come in...

We are desperate for news in this state, aren't we? Where are the stories of other employers who reduce/eliminate benefits?

It amazes me how employees think sharing internal content on a public website like Reddit is okay. If Ron Pearson were still in charge, the person who shared the video would be found and fired immediately. He hated leaks within the organization.
If Ron Pearson would be rolling in his grave it would be because of Randy Edeker unraveling years of his hard work in a few short years.
