sometimes i feel like i'm taking crazy pills when i get on here, but seriously.....did basically every other team just figure us out in the second half of the season, or are we legitimately worse? it's like what i'm seeing lately just doesn't compute....

Probably a bit of both.

The back half of the round robin makes things tougher, as does the grind of the season with limited talent that was overperforming early.

Hoping for a tournament like last year with teams getting fresh looks at us

That's what I don't want to get lost in this nonsense. People are explaining away these losses in a similar way to how they did a year ago. Limited offensively. Yes, this team is. But we are quite a bit better offensively than we were a year ago

it's not "nonsense." compared to our baseline, we seem to be even worse away from Hilton than we were last year...but i agree we have a higher ceiling than last year for sure.

Even though we've only won 3 games in the last month, the conference being so good means it hasn't really done much to hurt us. I think that answers the question in the preseason of is the Big 12 being this hard actually good? The answer is yes. Do that in any other conference and we're probably on the 11 seed line right now.

Also, we get to go back to Hilton to play the only team who's playing worse basketball than we are right now in the conference
