What in the actual **** happened today? Was Grill that much of a problem and we're just a better team now that he's no longer there? Or did cutting him have an unintended consequence of lighting a fire under their ass and waking them the hell up?

I think it was a lot of things. The team had to respond for lots of reasons, but let's not forget they were dead tired for a month. They needed their legs back and the Monday nighter couldn't have come at a better time. It may have hurt us Monday, but they were ready to rock today.

All made for a lot of fire and we won almost all of the floor burn plays. It was beautiful.

18-12 regular season, 9-9 conference record. Wins against KU & Tex-Ass, plus a sweep of Baylor. Who would have taken this before the season started, regardless of how the composition of the rest of the W's & L's were? I would have, especially after going in losing Jeremiah Williams before the season.

The way the season transpired has made it feel more negative than it should. With the start in conference play it just elevated expectations so high. A lot of it for me was excitement for the players & staff. To then have the poor stretch & then the internal drama, it really dampened the atmosphere. Would it be better had the losing stretch up front, then had have a huge winning streak here at the end? It would seem that would be riding a wave of momentum, but then it would be in the back of everyone's minds we could run out of steam. Been there, done that (year after Fizer). This win today then looking at the big picture, this team has accomplished a lot. Just hope it leads to multiple wins the rest of the way.

My heart literally can't take watching games on TV, so I usually tune everything out and will check Twitter an hour and 45 minutes after tipoff. LOL, we were up 15 with a little over 4 minutes left and I still didn't feel like it was a safe enough lead for me to watch in real time. Haha, great win fellas!

WTH was that? We have not seen that good of defense and shooting for a month and a half. Not that it was great shooting, but it has been so bad lately, even decent shooting is a vast improvement. Happy for the players and the coaches. It's been a rough stretch and a really rough week for those guys.
