Prior to the upset of Virginia, Furman hadn't won an NCAA tournament game since March 9, 1974. Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song that week: “Seasons in the Sun,” by Terry Jacks.

And they hadn't even been in the tournament since 1980.

The two 6 seeds loosing convincingly isn't great but the others aren't really that crazy.

Not any bigger story than the Big Ten getting 9 last year with tons of really high seeds and almost all of them losing to lower seeds early.

Been pretty chalk so far today besides Furman. Usually means a lot of upsets tomorrow
Have there been that many games that could've been? Most 1 and 2s are usually chalk. Upsets are usually 11-14 seeds and there haven't been a lot of those games yet
