We might not have needed to fear Oral Roberts.

I think Arkansas can beat Kansas if they actually play a solid forty minutes. They could have heat Illinois by thirty if they hadn't gone to sleep for minutes at a time.

If memory serves, Princeton almost was first 16 to knock off a 1 (1989, lost 50-49 to Georgetown). In 1996, Purdue barely escaped Western Carolina, I think a few other tight ones over the years before UMBC did it.

Side note: Princeton was first to win as a 16 seed in women's tournament -- can't recall the season without research, but it also was vs. Pac team - Stanford.

Harvard was the team in wbb and yes it was against Stanford but before tourney Stanford's star player got injured and didn't play. Another star player for Stanford was also hurt.

Harvard also had the nation's leading scorer.

Small crowd in Birmingham. Advantage Iowa. The Hawks are used to playing at Carver with small, quiet crowds.

I thought all of the Alabama fans were going to stay and cheer for Iowa? God, I heard that enough this week.
