There just needs to be more emphasis on the ability to score at a somewhat efficient clip when they're going after guys in the portal if they want to avoid these kind of horrific lows.

Still a lot of good from this year, but YIKES THIS STINKS today.

Given the slow start, I figure we're only capable of scoring around 56 in this game now. That means to win we can only give up 36 more points.

I’d agree if any of their shots hit the rim. I feel like most haven’t.

Our only high ground is that we won't blame Wilson.

It is absolutely HUGE that we made the NCAA the last 2 years. The amount of momentum that got our program is hard to understate. One embarrassing loss in the NCAA tournament doesn't change any of the accomplishments of the season.

But there are definite things that need to be improved talent AND coaching wise. And it does deserve some thought about whether or not we improved at the end of the season or not.

Pitt is ranked 156th in adjusted defense and we have 2 points in 9 minutes.

And you went to tournry games and didn't learn that the metrics don't have to matter?

Everybody "preferred" Pitt (everybody meaning, like CW) ... I knew Mississippi State was a safer option. Not saying we'd win, but I prefer defensive teams that struggle to score and can't shoot 3s.

Hindsight. We wouldn’t score against Mississippi State even on a good offensive day. We play like this against anyone we are losing the game. Doesn’t matter. Pitt’s defense is trash and they look like some of the old Pistons teams right now.
