We finished that half with 3 more made shots than Pitt had

15-19 from the freethrow line really bailed Pitt out IMO. If we would substract 3-4 brain dead fouls we wouldn't be in foul trouble and the game would be tied.

Now that’s it’s only a 7 point game I really hope they pull this out. If they don’t, just have it be a beat down because if we lose by single digits it’s going to be one giant “what if”? And the “what if?” would be “what if we didn’t go 11 minutes without a FG to start the game? What if we had even made two or three baskets during that timeframe?”

They had 1 FG in the last 13+ minutes. So I think it's even. Difference is 3s and FTs.

I think you start with him, but you have to tell him to keep his hands off. has to be smart.

You play him as much as possible, up until the point you maybe get a lead. Can't stand it when coaches limit playing time arbitrarily as it ensures the player plays the least amount of time possible. We need Gabe our there the most and I'd that means fouling out so be it.

Hopefully, arena staff were smart enough to leave that weird sounding rim alone. I don't think there's anything wrong with it from what I saw, but the right thing to do is just let Pitt play with it.

We took a ton of ******, rushed shots to start the game. I'm also sure Kunc couldn't make a layup and be took 3 or 4 of those.

We shot better at the end of the half as our shot selection was infinitely better. And we got to the rim.

Not at all impressed with Pitt. They looked nice in the first 10 minutes, but the next 10 minutes looked like they didn't belong on the same court as, aside from Burton who has been a stud for them

This game may be dictated mostly based on whether Gabe can avoid fouls. He's going to have to go at least 10 minutes with none.
