Offensive strategy isn’t great, but they also missed tons of open shots and free throws. That’s on the players.

The problem is I don’t think we have a strategy. Just dribble and pass the ball around until someone has to shoot. It’s shocking that TJ coaches under an offensive guru like Fred and didn’t learn.

I agree, but you can't be this ******* for an entire game and have it just be players

We are very quick to blame the players for the ineptitude. It's not all the coaches, but it is also not all the players.

Ready for some new blood that can score. But if TJ is going to run off anyone who won’t play his defensive style, this might be what we are stuck with. I trust him to right the ship but that was as disappointing as a turn out as I remember from an Iowa State team.

Some fun times this year but generally this is not an enjoyable style of basketball to watch.

What's your fantastic analysis of this game? Or are you just content being a passive aggressive *******?

Go ahead and drop your laugh emoji now. That's all you're good for here

When you bring in guys that can't shoot, no level of offensive coaching is going to fix that. Our starting point guard apparently shot 22% from 3 in high school. That seems almost impossible for a D1 recruit.

These first two years TJ has done an incredible job getting us to the tournament. We play this style because our guys are so limited offensively. Hopefully things start to turnaround next year with some of the guys coming in.

Go ahead and blow off some steam wanting someone fired.

Clearly the main issue is offensive talent, but that’s not the only problem. We need to see a better offensive game planning even when we get better players. Some of these possessions are just mid boggling. TJ is definitely ahead of schedule but year 3 it’s time to get going.

Agreed. We should still never be that bad against that defense though. If that was Mississippi State then it's one thing. That's another

If we don't pull shooters or change some stuff up next year then I'm beyond lost as to what we're trying here given the results this method of basketball with the epic pants shittings we've pulled the last 2 years.

Have you read any of the threads today? Lots of people are questioning coaching

TJ “running off” players while trying to reset a program that won 2 games the previous season. Context matters.
