I believe the stripes have a meaning and are only for practice
I thought having the head stripe accented in practice was to help w/ coaching (where are players looking).
Stripes are almost certainly to identify players &/or position groups, sometimes also used to tell where a player is looking on film - in the pics from this spring, almost all indicate they are marking defensive players
Good to know. Thank you. They have probably been doing this for years? I just noticed it now.

They've been doing it for years but I wish we did it for real. I want stripes on things. Sometimes I think our practice unis look better than the real ones, the cardinal top and pants at least.

Good to know. Thank you. They have probably been doing this for years? I just noticed it now.
I noticed it the first time only a few years ago - the QBs were wearing white stripes, almost certainly to make it easy to see where they're looking on film
