Maybe Bohanan will buy it for shoe storage. He has to be swimming in cash with the G League contract.
Neat!Must be that time, K-State changes out as well this fall. Will include a touch of lavender no less.
All right, this is pretty nerdy and nit-picky but let me vent about this floor.
Wasn't John Lamb a former walk-on? I guess I don't understand the reference or back story.
He has a gym/business in WDM with a Hawkeye floor. Welcomed Tyrese back to Iowa during NCAA's a little too joyfully.Wasn't John Lamb a former walk-on? I guess I don't understand the reference or back story.
At least he never won on that floor.Maybe Bohanan will buy it for shoe storage. He has to be swimming in cash with the G League contract.
He was at ISU and was released. Got in some trouble right after also. https://iowastatedaily.com/151224/n...sketball-player-lamb-arrested-on-drug-charge/He has a gym/business in WDM with a Hawkeye floor. Welcomed Tyrese back to Iowa during NCAA's a little too joyfully.

I'm okay with the concept for a school trying to build its brand, but it really bother me that there isn't a roller coaster in all of Florida that looks like the one used in this graphic. Looks like they took the loop and cobra roll of a typical Vekoma Boomerang model and copy/pasted it onto the court 4 times:

End rant.
Now the theme park junkie in me feels compelled to design a better floor using elements from stuff actually in the Orlando area. Hell, they could've used th esame elements from Kraken and Hulk instead of the route they chose. BRB.That's some low-energy design right there.
It's not like Orlando lacks for some highly-rated and even iconic rides --
VelociCoaster
The Incredible Hulk
Mako
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
Manta
Kraken
Space Mountain
You'd think you could find an attractive profile of four of those and design them into it.

My kids were 8 and 6 when we vacationed in Orlando, so coasters weren't the main attraction. I'd add Expedition Everest and Rock 'n Rollercoaster to the list of fun coasters. Not sure of the ratings or icon status, but I enjoyed those 2That's some low-energy design right there.

I remember seeing the plans for the new floor after the flooding in the early '90s. They knew how good that floor looked on TV and how bad some other schools' new floor designs looked. They intentionally tried to keep the colors and design in that lane knowing it worked. That was a lot of different people so I don't know how they will look at it now.The athletic department hasn't done anything non-traditional with the floor before, I fully expect a very low key design but would be pumped if there was a state of Iowa outline/shape involved with the half court logo or something similar.
There is also a fair amount of metal to deal with so it isn't as simple as setting up a table saw and going to work...If I had room to figure this out and had any skill with a saw, I'd be all over it. But based on what I've heard on some folks' experience with the previous floor, it's a pain in the a$$ to store, carry and distribute.

So he’s bitter. I get that sentiment. He has a gym/business in WDM with a Hawkeye floor. Welcomed Tyrese back to Iowa during NCAA's a little too joyfully.
How would you know how heavy they are. You were always the bolt guy and not a grunter? There is also a fair amount of metal to deal with so it isn't as simple as setting up a table saw and going to work...
...and those pieces have un understructure so they are a hell of a lot heavier than a sheet of 3/4" plywood.
I put in my time as a grunter before that. I also did my share of snapping. I drove tug a time or two but I don't recall ever being on fork for the floor. How would you know how heavy they are. You were always the bolt guy and not a grunter?.
