Did Adam haluska really run a 10 flat 100 in high school or is the record list I'm looking at lying.

I believe I saw that Ryce Reynolds also became the first athlete in state history to sweep the 400m dash and 400m hurdles twice.

Not exactly sure.
Wife gets to take the kiddo today. I am recovering from the sunburn that I received. 60 -70 degrees and I still got sunburnt even though I work outside a good chunk of the day.

Three teams in the 1A Boys sprint medley relay go below the old state meet record.

Previous record: 1:33.57, 2021

Lawton-Bronson 1:31.12 (#2 all-time, all-classes)
Mount Ayr 1:31.40 (#5 all-time, all-classes)
Lynnville-Sully 1:33.28
It only makes some sense because the sprint medley is such a new event.

State track is the best "state" event and I'm not sure it's close. The UNI Dome for football is neat but state track takes it to a whole new level especially since they consolidated everything and you don't have to walk a half mile for the throwing events. I think my freshman year was the last time it was a split meet (2004) and whoever made the call on co-ed absolutely nailed it.

Johnston and Ankeny now #1 and #2 all-time in the sprint med. But it's such a new event, we won't talk about it.

I'm only saying makes sense because they didn't just break it...they absolutely annihilated it. It's really hard to do that as records stand longer.

Today should be a great weather condition day for more records to fall.

6 of the 8 classes still highly competitive in the team race with 7 events to go.

Van Meter (2A girls) and Solon (3A girls) have sizable leads.
