Yeah, I'm fully expecting to end up in B1. I Was speaking specifically about Vet Med filling up with States parkers. There were a lot of spaces left in C1/C2 and B1 last year.

554 hereI think I'm like 444 in the States level. I've donated for several years but this is the first year I've tried to get a parking pass. We've tailgated in the grass lots with family who don't donate so it wasn't worth the hassle. I have zero interest in a vet med pas so if I can't get in the lots up by Hilton then I guess grass lots it is.
I haven't looked closely enough at the renderings to tell. We usually drive to the lots closer to football season to see what's there, what's been done, where we want to try to park. That's definitely happening this year. I'm feeling more and more like this fall might be the last hurrah for tailgating as we've done for decades. It's not a happy thought. So those islands will be gone? I really hope a crew cab long box doesn’t park behind me. That would make it impossible to get out if you don’t have a compact vehicle.
I don't think the demand will be there.Yeah, I'm fully expecting to end up in B1. I Was speaking specifically about Vet Med filling up with States parkers.
Will be interesting to see, but I think it will be. Vet Met is closer to the both the public lots and stadium than B1 and C1/C2.I don't think the demand will be there.
True but they're a royal PITA to get out of.Will be interesting to see, but I think it will be. Vet Met is closer to the both the public lots and stadium than B1 and C1/C2.
This is also a valid point. Season Tix are down a bit from the last few years.I don't think the demand will be there.
Is there any benefit to VetMed lot as a donor? I only became a $300 level donor last year so I'm guessing I'll end up there. I was in B1 last year and I actually really enjoyed it. Easy to get in and out with plenty of room. I mainly used the spot to give to friends so they wouldn't have to haul their kids across campus/Ames to tailgate in the higher levels, but the times I tailgated there I enjoyed it. Hardly seems worth it for VetMed.

Yes they did so that should open a decent amount of spots. That and like people have said the Donor/Season tickets numbers appear to be down as of now as well.Didn't the tailgating tents used to come with a certain amount of parking passes? Since those aren't in play anymore that may open some spots too.
I normally park in B4 but hated getting out of there. Maybe I'll switch to B1 or C1 this year.
The people that are in charge of parking seem to get dumber and dumber every year. I wish I would of known before I had to put my donation in that things were going to be this bad. I would of just gave my money to NIL and parked in the grass.I used to favor the grass lots because they were pretty easy to get out of but starting last year they were pushing traffic back towards Elwood which was incredibly dumb.

Yeah, it kinda looks like they are trying to discourage multifamily/friend tailgating with tents. Looks like a new era, unless there are 30' aisles between parking spaces. In our area, people seemed to be very courteous moving their stuff so late arrivals could get to spots, maybe that was not the case everywhere. I hope to avoid new lots, good for one more year anyway.Did they really just try to sneak this last bullet point in here like nobody would notice on the Friday of a 3 day weekend???
- The CYTown development footprint will be fenced off during the 2023 season for construction. This includes the lots that were formerly B5 and B6.
- Several parking lots North of Jack Trice Stadium (Lots formerly D1-D4 and C5-C6) are in the process of being rebuilt and will be completed ahead of the 2023 season.
- The reconstructed lots will be newly configured with straight-in parking.
- A 10’ fire lane will be painted in the drive lanes of the newly paved parking lots. These drive lanes must be kept clear at all times.
- Please note that lot identification letters and numbers have been changed.
- Beginning with the 2023 football season, all donor lots will open 6 hours prior to kickoff, but not earlier than 6 a.m. For games that kick off at 4 p.m. or later, donor lots will open at 10 a.m.
