I don't even remember him at Iowa and to be honest I generally don't find Iowa's football players to be in the same boat as bball.

A statement I would have to agree with. I also get more agitated when we lost in basketball than in football.

In football though, it's the fans that drive the irritation IMO. Not the players. It is very much the players in basketball, because most of their fans don't give a crap unless they're competing well heading into March.

Also, I hated Tony Romo when he was with Dallas, not so much because of him, but because of how NFL media circle jerked about him. I just never got the praise that was constantly heaped onto him every year. But I like him much better as an analyst.

I tell ya what, I hated Jess Settles as a player but he was FANTASTIC on the fanatics with Chris and Ross. I liked his input probably more than Jake Sullivan's.

Settles has learned to keep the Iowa State jokes to himself as he’s gotten older.

It is an interesting character study that ISU fans all love Kittle and so many Iowa fans go full rage mode at the very idea of Brock Purdy is a top NFL QB.
