Pardon my ignorance but what is west o? Where are they out of and where can I get some?
The O stands for Okoboji if that helps. You can get it at places that carry local brews. I've seen it at restaurants before and Iowa Craft Brew tents. Most easily you can get it at Hy-Vee. Quite the conundrum if you are boycotting Hy-Vee.

Thanks! No need to boycott anyone over this. But yes please support those that go out of their way to help like West O! I think you’ll all enjoy this beer as well and over $2 of every “case” will go to We Will, which is awesome. Hopefully not the last you’ll see of a West O collaboration with Iowa State.
Hmmm do they sell beer at JTS to the general public…

People throw around the word boycott and it gets everyone worked up. I don’t view it as a boycott at all. It’s just making a purchase. Exile decided to back Iowa and not ISU. That’s their right. But it’s also my right as a consumer to choose a 6 pack from a different brewery. Won’t be the only factor in buying beer, but it’s probably enough to make me choose beer from somewhere else.

Boycott sounds like people are picketing outside of the brewery. Personally, I’m not upset or anything, I’m just going to buy one of the other 50 beers on the shelf. They made their marketing decision based on what they felt was important, I make my purchasing decision based on what I feel is important. Kind of how the free market works.

The West O 6Foot6 IPA is damn tasty, a nice surprise it was recently $5/sixer at Dirty John's.

What sort of promotional stuff is Exile doing with Iowa? I missed that....

I am just glad that Backpocket didn't partner with Swarm as I am pumped for their location in CR. Although I am sure they were one that declined to partner with We Will but I understand that.

Not exactly sure.
Will give the AD some more credit. With the events they do in okoboji and other areas like that, they have decided to try to grab the people west of 35 and keep a slow immersion into the stuff north of 20 and up to 380 also.

I have not had much West O but I know they are known for their Stout.
It would be cool to have the We Will beer was a seasonal series just to be different from the TOE.

Hyvee usually carries it, their peanut butter porter is really good.
I'll have to look again to be sure, but I'm almost 100% certain I have never seen it in Dubuque anywhere.

Edited to add that for the record, I still have yet to see the Swarm collective's beer anywhere in Dubuque either.

I hope we’re still able to partner with a Des Moines brewery where x amount of dollars from every pint sold goes towards the We Will collective
That's not what we are talking about here with West O? I haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast yet.
