My guess is they simply recognize that it’s going to take some time due to the creativity they’re having to contend with and that Arizona and Colorado aren’t going to move without having a full picture of both options. There’s nothing the Big 12 can do to force Arizona and Colorado to jump ship as they know the offer will still be there a year from now. Likewise, it doesn’t appear the B1G is imminently going to add Oregon or Washington.

That does give them time in that context. It doesn’t remove the huge cloud hanging over them though.

Right, the PAC is just keeping us all in suspense because they enjoy the public perception that they're incompetent boobs.

If they had a deal all parties agreed to, there's zero reason to delay getting it wrapped up. There would have to be a compelling reason to sit on it, because otherwise letting it linger only allows the possibility for something to go wrong. Then again, it would be completely on-brand for the PAC to have something on the table everyone could live with, but delay a couple of weeks for a dumb reason and have it fall apart before they get it signed.

Said one member of the Pac-12 CEO Group: "The room just shifted."

Wonder who left the room? Maybe they just moved closer to the door...

Apparently, there was an earthquake on the 'Pacifica Alta Costa' (otherwise known as PAC).
Everyone should immediately leave the building and seek safety elsewhere. :)

Based on it coming from Canzano- he's alluding the tv deal is good enough to keep the Pac12 together.

At this point, who cares. Fall camps start in 3 weeks- can't wait.
In the same boat. Would be cool to get a few of those four corner schools, but at this point I really don't care. The PAC is done for regardless after this little deal they are going to put together. It's just a band aid on a gun shot wound for a few years.

(The summer “Bad Blood” came out, when my son and I took our annual trip to watch the Cardinals play we heard it multiple times on the radio during our drive, so it became kinda our theme song for the trip.)

This is the gist of what I got from what I could read of the article. Like the general mood has swung from pessimism to optimism.

From my perspective, the PAC-12 comes off as being snobbish / elitist. To me, their mindset is that they'd rather go down with the ship than take the life raft.
