He self disclosed it. Just in case anyone wonders if leaked or where that came from.

I'd like to know if he had to wait a certain amount of time before disclosing it and then if we start to hear of more in the coming weeks.

Stated it was because he felt was right thing to do as he was pegged to go to Indy for BT media days next week and felt maybe someone else should go in his place. I doubt there is a gag order on the accused.

Two more defensive players in the two deeps will be likely missing time, both in defensive backfield. Noah Shannon is a good player but Iowa has a crap ton of depth at dline. The pending defensive backfield suspensions could hurt a lot more, one safety and one corner. Iowa has a lot of depth at safety, but corner depth is the worst it’s been at Iowa in years.

Nah. That’s one game out of 12 between in-state rivals who have played to nearly a draw over the last 25 years. This just says that the rest of Iowa’s schedule is dog **** as usual.

I don't know what Iowa will see but ISU might play 5 ranked teams outside of Iowa.

I bet none of these will be more than 4 game suspensions unless there was something egregious that took place.

Yeah... and then KF says that this is how great of a person Shannon is because he self reported it. Barf.

CMC should have invited Dekkers, Brock, Hanika, Remsburg, and Lee to Big 12 Media Days... and then have them all "self report" that they aren't going to attend.... and then make a statement about how that showed how great of human beings these guys all are.

You can't make this crap up folks. Why did KF invite Shannon to go in the first place? You think he doesn't know who is involved in this? Sure he does.

Probably because it's not that big of a deal. I don't really see a reason to shun guys from the program unless there is something nefarious like point shaving going on which there isn't on either side.

Maybe CMC cares about his players and knew those players would all just get harassed all day by the media.... because it was obvious the media knew who was involved... they specifically asked CMC and Dekkers being involved in it.

Well Dekkers being involved is the worst kept secret in the state. I don’t think anyone even knew that this guy was involved. At least I haven’t seen him mentioned. Iowa state has made it pretty obvious who has been involved considering none of those guys were allowed to workout with the team and none of them have been featured in social media posts.

Right, if you are even half way locked in to Cyclone news - you would know who is potentially involved.
I find it odd that NO Iowa fans have/had even an idea on any rumored names... very weird.

Iowa plays 10 power 5 teams. The ISU game prevents them from scheduling anyone tougher in the non-conference. Making fun of Iowa’s sos when the only game they can control the schedule on that could have a major impact is the Iowa State game is humorous.

Yeah, we should all promote people to leadership positions who sit through compliance programs then turn right around and intentionally break the rules.
