Well Dekkers being involved is the worst kept secret in the state. I don’t think anyone even knew that this guy was involved. At least I haven’t seen him mentioned. Iowa state has made it pretty obvious who has been involved considering none of those guys were allowed to workout with the team and none of them have been featured in social media posts.

According to CMC... they've all been working out.

Iowa plays 10 power 5 teams. The ISU game prevents them from scheduling anyone tougher in the non-conference. Making fun of Iowa’s sos when the only game they can control the schedule on that could have a major impact is the Iowa State game is humorous.
Well given what we saw last year it seems like Iowa State was a tough enough team....

The Cyclones out gained Iowa by 163 yards, had 10 more 1st downs, had possession of the ball for 17 more minutes AND beat the Hawks at Kinnick...

But KF didn't know supposedly.... or he was okay with Shannon going and getting drilled by the media all day about it.
The Iowa insiders 'take' is that KF knew... if that is the case, certainly an interesting choice to pick a player who is under investigation to be one of the team reps at media day...

I bet none of these will be more than 4 game suspensions unless there was something egregious that took place.
4 games is pretty severe though. That's two tough games @iowa State and @Penn state. Though Iowa plays a stacked deck again this year so no time is a good time on the flip side. Let's hope it's a 1 game lesson learned type discipline

This is hilarious. It’s not about controlling the non-con schedule. It’s about playing a really weak conference schedule every year. The B1G West is pathetic which speaks for itself and somehow Iowa gets to dodge Ohio St and Michigan more than anyone else. Notice that 3 of the 10 weakest schedules in this list are B1G West teams. This is why Iowa is rightfully known as the fake ID of college football.

Jesus Christ lol your football team is not that good. Stop acting like getting rid of ISU means you’d start playing LSU in the non con. It wouldn’t happen. If we’re holding you down that bad then cut the Utah State’s and Western Michigans off and play a good team. Two out of the last 4 years we’ve played we’ve been ranked. Stop acting like Iowa not playing Iowa State is the reason why your horrid schedule is the way it is.

Some people will say anything. It's a brutal slate with a lot of heated rivalries. With Rodgers gone I'd almost rather take my chances in the NFC North

The sun is setting earlier and earlier which is sad but that also means we get to partake in some good old fashioned back and forth trolling in about 6 weeks.

With all the coaching changes in the Big Ten west, I have no idea what to expect but I would guess it’ll be a transition year that’s not great. Northwestern is going to be terrible is about the only given.

A lot of the projections about Iowa State schedule being so tough is solely based off of last years records. The big 12 looks headed for a downturn to me looking at the preseason all conference teams. And the hard part about college football anymore is hardly anyone plays anymore out of conference of note so you don’t really get a good measure of the teams until the bowl games. And even those aren’t a great measure because of the opt outs anymore. But at least you are getting more P5 matchups and both teams are typically affected by opt outs.

You can continue to rely on the B1G West being straight trash Rubbish all the way down.
