I’m fully prepared for his suspension to get reduced from all season to just one game, and he’ll be back for the ISU game.

Feel like guys practicing vs leaving team is based on NCAA enforcement actions. Remsburg is practicing because NCAA has determined his penalty less than full season. While we had Lee and Brock leave team because NCAA punishment was permanent ban.

Could be the NCAA hasn't made ruling or responded to appeal on Dekkers and Hanika. And ISU isn't going to let them practice until NCAA finalizes penalty.

Reading between the lines, it appears Shannon lost a full season for betting on an Iowa WBB game. Punishment doesn't seem to fit the crime but I doubt Iowa will win the appeal.

From the sounds of it, kirk mentioned that two others were facing suspension of varying lengths, probably won't know who until next Saturday.

He's spot on. If it's a serious enough infraction that you justify suspending someone a year, or even eliminating their eligibility all together, then I'd expect the NCAA to be coordinating with sportsbook and law enforcement all over the country to investigate. But instead they are only picking it up because we happen to live in a state where the DCI is apparently underworked enough they need to investigate petty, victimless crimes.

Hey…. how about we also just drug test the athletes at Iowa and ISU too!

This whole thing is a farce. A huge disadvantage for Iowa and ISU.
