Come on..... some of us are lazy. Fareway is a sponsor and one of my favorite local grocery stores in Marion. Surely they would have it right????
At least according to their online ordering they do not have it.

I've always wondered if that is an accurate way to see what's in stock.
Hy-Vee's is not accurate. I made a special trip there today because their website said they have it but they didn't and haven't gotten any yet so it wasn't sold out either.

No Ames Lager as of 3:30. I did get a cold 12 of Clonefest from their beer cooler thought. Not a bad Festbier!

Neighbor also gave me two quarts of shine. Not a bad trade for mowing his yard.
Nice, well hopefully there are more shipments of stuff coming in the next few days. Doesn't really matter but I'd like to have some before the first game.

That's true, but Exile can still afford to shift some of that capacity to Swarm and I'm not sure or rather don't know if West O does have that ability.

You're definitely right about the timing. With football season, it's definitely going to be in higher demand. It's kind of head scratching a larger brewery didn't agree to a partnership. There's very little downside IMO. You're brewing a beer for a group of people who have historically drank establishments out of alcohol (Hawk and Cyclone fans alike) and who are extremely passionate about supporting their schools. I would assume the donation can also be used as a tax write off? I would also imagine it's easier for individuals to support the NIL Collectives through purchasing beer rather than making an actual donation. Heck, as a Cyclone leaning Panther fan, I'd buy a sixer just to try it, but there's no reason I would ever make a donation.

I’m really surprised WestO was the only option for this beer. Someone like Confluence would’ve killed it brewing this. Someone smarter than me might be able to explain but a small brewery in an isolated part of the state was an odd choice. Don’t get me wrong, picked some up on Friday and drank through 6 four packs very quickly over the weekend, but odd, nonetheless.

I could have seen Firetrucker do it if Dan didn't pass away. He was always at games at Hilton.

Certainly reached out and asked all the larger brewers. They were not interested in alienating half the state essentially. Or were not prepared to get something spun up in time for Football season. West O has been a great partner and is invested in Iowa State’s success. Appreciate everyone’s support. Supply will get better in the weeks ahead!
