Pollard gets most due credit for the growth of ISU athletics, but this site and CW + team might be the second biggest reason for fan support.Cyclone fans are "Very Online" compared to other fanbases.
Cyclone Fanatic is no small reason why.
He's locked up in Jannys basement.
Do they? I mean they've added new ones, but the only one that doesn't exist anymore, and for the better IMO, was the Stanz/Jorbo one. Jon Miller has been MIA for awhile, but CW has assured the listeners that he'll be back.
Who was your firstborn.I'm not going anywhere. CF lifer. It's like my third kid.
I had a shower thought the other day about how many schools have something similar to CF? Pretty much every school has forums, but I don't know many schools outside of sites like TexAgs that produce the amount of content CF does. We are pretty fortunate.Pollard gets most due credit for the growth of ISU athletics, but this site and CW + team might be the second biggest reason for fan support.
Be even better if we didn’t have so many god damn mods!!!!! That’s right. I said it.I had a shower thought the other day about how many schools have something similar to CF? Hassel has turned into a non-stop troll. He can't wait to jump on anything CW says about ISU. He refuses to give honest discussion about ISU topics. He's an insecure bully who needs someone to pop him. It's a good concept and all but personally I care about Iowa State and have no desire to listen to the tools of the other schools talk about anything.
I'm hearing the exact same thing. Couldn't agree more.Yeah, basically all the supposed CyHawk talk turns into the same ****. Whether it was on KXnO or Iowa Everywhere. Both guys talk real, in-depth stuff about the Hawks for the first 75% of the time, then the "Cyclone" portion turns into stupid derailment that is at best something like Hassel going on about the camera perspective of Kohl vs. Becht. But mostly these shows turn into guys like Peterson or Hassel using every ISU discussion as their opportunity to talk about random **** that has nothing to do with ISU, if sports at all.
I appreciate two guys named Chris, and it was interesting, but now that the novelty has worn off, it is getting back to the same crap that plagues every one of these attempts at CyHawk talk.
I suppose this problem is always going to be the case. The problem is you have two programs that in the grand scheme of things don't matter on the national scale, but one fanbase gets it, while the other is full of completely delusional morons that have no clue that pretty much nobody outside our state gives two ***** or even distinguishes between the two programs.
Hawkeye coverage would actually greatly benefit from an outsider coming in and getting a job covering the team. But their media is basically made up of a bunch of lifer fans that have absolutely no understanding of their actual irrelevance in the big picture.

Hopefully the current CF lineup stays throughout the season. The Fergalicious Woody pod has been a good listen as we approach the season
Woody has so much potential, but he gets distracted by telling us way too much about how a defensive lineman lines up or whatever.Hopefully the current CF lineup stays throughout the season. The Fergalicious Woody pod has been a good listen as we approach the season
I think we just need football to start. These guys can only analyze so much prior to the season.Hassel has turned into a non-stop troll. He can't wait to jump on anything CW says about ISU. He refuses to give honest discussion about ISU topics. He's an insecure bully who needs someone to pop him.

Nah, Hassel has been over the top for the last month and falling back into the typical tavern hok that he is. Those types can't help themselves.I think we just need football to start. These guys can only analyze so much prior to the season.
Surprised I didn't see Adam Gray on there with how dated some of this is.Ooh. Daddy like.
Slight deviation but this list of contributors is entertaining for how out of date it is...

It has the right names, but I am pretty sure CW doesn't do KXNO and Blum isn't working for the ISU Foundation anymore.

They have segments, but it's still a relatively new podcast, so it takes some time to figure out what works. CW often brings segment intros, but Hassel won't engage honestly and next thing you know, he's doing his Blum voice. It is my experience that "crossover" or "debate" podcasts (either with sports or politics or whatever else) don't really work without a very formal structure to them. "Hawk fan talks to Cyclone fan" isn't that.
It can work when given a true debate structure, like these YouTube channels/podcasts...
https://www.youtube.com/@Intelligence-Squared/videos
https://www.thesohoforum.org/
But "just buddies getting together to debate things" never ends up that interesting or insightful. Let them make their best points independently on their own platforms in a de facto conversation with each other or put something together where there can be some "rigor" or fairness in the contest of rhetoric.
That’s always been his shtick, just insufferableHassel has turned into a non-stop troll. He can't wait to jump on anything CW says about ISU. He refuses to give honest discussion about ISU topics. He's an insecure bully who needs someone to pop him.
When the pod started last year, he had toned it down. The lack of dumb smack was its redeeming quality. That’s always been his shtick, just insufferable
If Stanz truly bailed on purple already, hope there’s nothing going on behind the scenes. Or if there is, he gets whatever support he needs.
Disappointed on Osen, but I get it. Anyone know anything on the new guy?
