I’m confident we will blow them out and people will once again be fooled that we improved from last week and all is well. Then reality will hit again the following week.
@Gunnerclone isn't this basically in your backyard? Are you attending?
Maybe Jay Jordan can give us some insight into what is going on with Vegas. I know that Oddsshark has not updated our stats after the Iowa game. Also, they are predicting Ohio to win by more than four points. They also have us at -3. Weird. Something doesn't add up.While I'm confident we'll win, it makes me nervous that the experts in Vegas have made us only 2.5 point favorites.
Funny that that was a 1-10 Ohio team as well.I believe that last time we visited Athens we had Seneca, and still only won by a FG.
There seemed to be a few plays where I thought he could take off. But someone correct me if I'm wrong... did we really try and move the pocket at all? Seemed to me we rarely did. We were incredibly predictable overall. I will say though... We moved the ball down the field our first possession and our STs gets a field goal blocked. Sets the tone of the game. A positive overall is that our kicking and punting game looks pretty damn good.
Norton was so bad at that that I am not so sure multiple times he didn't know where or what he was to be doing. Were you at the game or at home? I was there and then watched the highlights. I’ll be honest I was ok with how he looked when he’d drop back to pass. I was surprised to see it when I wasn’t emotionally involved. He looked cool and collected and got the ball out quick. His release is quick. He lets things develop and was on time and accurate.
He had a terrible read on the pick 6, no doubt. Iowa is so hard to get over the top of when you can’t out athlete them, and right now we can’t so poise and accuracy is needed. Btw Cartevious Norton needs to work on route running.
I did find it interesting that DeJean was covering Brahmer the second half a lot. That kid is the next great tight end at ISU. Easton Dean has shown that he is better but his production will take a drastic step back as the year goes on because he will be supplanted.
Nah I was at the game. I'm not mad at Rocco with how he played overall. I think as you said he was very cool and collected. The game doesn't look like it's going 1000 miles an hour, which is great. I have yet to watch the highlights, and I'm sure if I did I'd get a better understanding than just watching it live. Norton did not look good in his routes and I think he might've had 1-2 drops as well. Noel was flat out awful too, dropping a couple big ones. Were you at the game or at home? This is a typical Matt Campbell season. Struggle against an fcs opponent. Get spanked by iowa but somehow have a chance that comes up short at the end. Play a group of five school and jolly womp them.

HUH??
1. You think we struggled with UNI?
2. You think we got spanked by Iowa?
Theo was awful this Saturaday. I think he threw 3 INTs. Very overratedAnd you were probably doing the same thing for UNI and Theo Day. Pathetic.
I'm like a 63 on that scale.
