He has to quit playing Hawkeye ball. Open the offense up and make it fun and score some points. This crap is like watching Jim Cryner football. Just so annoying that we don’t even try anything different than last year

Me too. All he needs to do is be less stubborn on the offense he wants to run. We are unable to execute a run first offense, so we need to be a pass first offense.

I don't know what my answer is to this. If he is to continue as our coach, I would like him to be a CEO. I don't want him to touch the offense--he clearly, clearly has no mind for it at all--and I don't want him to make the big in-game decisions. That makes me think, "Well, then what should he do?" Recruit, I guess. But our players also do not seem very good.
This is end of tenure Chizik, Rhoads, and McCarney level garbage. Absolutely pathetic. This staff won only seven games with Purdy, Hall, Kolar, et. al. Tells you all you need to know.

Mostly apathetic unfortunately. I frankly don't understand how this has happened. Supposedly we have the best recruiting classes we've ever had and I think the culture is solid.. Its honestly impressive how terrible these guys are in-game.

I’m not at the point right now where I would fire him l, but would have no problem if they did if this season is the disaster it looks like it could be. He need to be a CEO head coach and get his hands off the offense like he has the defense if stays.

Eh, I've said for years that ISU is not fundamentally sound and these types of games it shows.
I don't care how 'exciting' the game is. If you're going to choose to slow ball it on both sides you HAVE to be succinct in how you play.
I want to give him time after he made some changes and with the new OL coach, but when has a desperation staff reshuffle actually worked and saved a coaches job?
What an absolutely asinine thread. Let’s fire the best coach we’ve had ever in the history of our university because we’re off to a slow start during, unfortunately, another rebuilding year with a young offensive roster and the first year with a new offensive staff. I’m sure fans wanted to fire Campbell after we lost to Louisiana too and we went on to win the fiesta bowl that year.
It seems like he basically refuses to consider the idea that he might be wrong about certain things. When someone is that proud, I doubt their ability to change.
