He won us a freakin fiesta bowl guys.

Of course not. But it’s clear this offense has been inept since Purdy left. A lot of difficulties off the field also this season with gambling sanctions and players getting food poisoning today didn’t help.

But there is no excuse with the play calling today. Why are we not passing to tight ends and WRs more? Why keep trying to run it? This offensive line stinks also so trying to run it continues to make no sense.

Just completely lost hope for this season. These players don’t even care, no energy or passion on the side line.

The Dline doesn’t seem to be creating as much pressure as they did in the UNI game.
Explain to me what made the Fiesta Bowl so special?

I’m done with the Fiesta Bowl thing. I joke around about the *** attached to it but seriously be honest with yourself it’s not the same “win” as any other year in that game.

He beat an Oregon team that lost to Cal and Oregon State and finished 4-3. It blows my mind how much people think that was some huge feat.

I think it was cool to win a Fiesta Bowl. It just feels to me like we have fundamental problems and he has no interest in fixing them. What are we supposed to do with that? Seriously?

Regardless of whatever that game meant, it’s pretty obvious he lost his special sauce.

My comment to the Campbell detractors last week was to at least wait until a non-Iowa game. Obviously, today was as bad as it gets, so I can't blame anyone for wanting him gone after that.

However, unless a candidate is in house, I don't really seeing it being beneficial to fire before the end of the season. And considering the fact that I still think the talent is there, I'm not counting out today being a ginormous motivator to throw the book out and start from scratch (basically what happened to bring into motion the 3-3-5 defense).
Firing Campbell and Making John Heacock the head coach would make a difference , he would atleast let the OC try something new.

But I think we can't afford to fire him that is an issue.

No decent talent is coming to isu on the offense with way we scheme

IMHO, Walden’s teams were as much fun to watch as this low creativity tiny d football. Never raise expectations and then fall flat.

I'm willing to give Clanton another year to get this OL figured out. But next year we need to be good. The offense can work if we have the players. Right now we don't have the players. I do think we have enough talent in the RB room IF we can get the OL sorted out. But if they don't show some improvement then yeah it's time to move on. I don't see Campbell changing his offense.

Don't really care. I'm having a hard time seeing us getting a better coach. Just all seems ****** now. The Fiesta Bowl win may have been the peak of ISU football for a very long time.

No but down where we are ranked it don’t matter that much. Here is the 2021 class and u can see the rest of the classes

This is instructive.
I see so many of these posts the past few years about how Campbell "recruits well."
Umm. Na.

We wouldn't have even made the Fiesta Bowl if the Iowa game wouldn't have been cancelled. Then we beat a 4-3 Oregon team in that game. In all honesty that was about the equivalent of winning the Independence Bowl in a normal year. Did recruiting ever improve much after that? How has he capitalized on that win?

Even that game the offense tried to lose it, opening drive fumble on the 1 yard line.

The amount of close loses that season because of the offense / campbell was maddening

Time for the freshman class to hit the portal and save themselves. The Fiesta Bowl argument makes no sense. Would mean more to me if it came during a full schedule. Lots of interesting names out there who would love to coach in Ames. Best thing for all involved would've been for CMC to leave for a "better" job a couple years ago
