Do you all realize this is a terrible look for ISU that our best coach and hottest candidate we’ve had in years, stays loyal to isu and says here. Then it bites him in the ass and no one wants him. Not a good look for isu more than anything else

He makes $4 million a year here with a huge buyout. He isn't working for free. If another program had snapped him up, he would have had a short-term contract and been dumped as soon as it wasn't working out.

Apparently people haven't attended an SEC or even Iowa or Big10 game.

This is lame compared to what people yell at players/coaches/fans.

Not saying it is right, but now with player pay and outrageous coaching salaries?

Kinda goes with the territory.

Hell I get routinely called a Madden All-Star simply for showing a better understanding of football philosophy than CMC lately.

I still show up. For free.
I will coach this team for only $1m and guarantee that could win at least 1-2 games a season. Jamie McScrouge would be $3m ahead

What are you talking about. You have to win games, your team needs to look ready and competitive, we are not either right now. So many mistakes that have lead to loses. Loyal to a fault does not help ISU. Fans are fans, the noise is only going to get worse.

Source is that I’m friends with the guy who filmed the video. And that the fan that was talking **** comes by our tailgate. What a way to get caught by going viral, out of state, and intoxicated.
Not sure why he would get caught because of this. He’s physically in Athens, Ohio and the cops would have to track him down returning by car or plane for it to matter.

Why?

For speaking the truth?

The media kid gloves Campbell, and he never has to explain anything, no matter how stupid or stubborn it seems.

I'm glad somebody called him out publicly.

$4 million a year and a complete refusal to make necessary actual changes. There are kids playing Madden on PS5 that are better at game AND clock management.
That guy came off like a complete douche. If you support how he acted, you’re probably a douche.

Do you think other up-and-coming coaches are gonna want to come to isu when the narrative is “the coach with the best winning percentage at isu should have cashed a check when he could”?

While true, if you have a warrant for you where you live in Iowa, I’d be avoided going viral.

Matt Campbell has turned into the stubborn control freak that happens when some people have success. They think they shouldn’t be questioned and can’t seem to read the room around them because they surround themselves with people telling them how great they are.

This isn’t the guy that got Iowa State to this point. He’s changed.

And you think he would be successful at a blue blood? They would run him out of town for the product he is putting on the field. This would have happened at a big school only faster.
Nebraska or Florida State would have fired him after the last 2 seasons
