It happens. I had a boss like this once. Came in great from another company, it was a step up managing that big an org. Initially he was fine, not a genius but did okay and was weird but good to work with. But eventually he got a new boss who started preasuring him hard. And he turned into a total prick. Wouldnt listen to anyone, just yelled at people. Everyone shut off from him and he eventually went to another company.
So what. Was sitting behind the Iowa bench and what was said to daddy Ferentz and his son......and many players by a bunch of middle aged drunk cyclone fans was 1,000 times worse than this. And they ignored all of it.
All I can say is grow a pair Matt. Your primary concern is what is happening on the field. Not what some loser has to say about you or the players.
Yes. You hire a guy to win gd mf games. You give him time to see if he can do it. If he does hooray. At ISU you prob give a guy more time than average.
But if he cant win, then you try again with a new guy. Thats how it works.
If you have a guy who cant win anymore, then trying someone who MIGHT win is the right thing to do.
But what I’m saying is - let’s say he has a good first 4-5yrs like Campbell and gets bigger offers elsewhere. He would be an IDIOT not to leave after what happened to Campbell after he had some offers and could have left for a check. This just makes staying at isu for sustained success seem impossible
Folks have repeatedly told him to evolve on offense and he has not done anything in seven years, lose because of the offense.

It is pretty disturbing that such a simple statement from a random fan caused him to completely lose control. It is also quite telling at the same time. You need to be sure you don't say anything about a hot seat if you see in him public.
Knowing these guys I’m sure plenty of other things were being said by them before the recorded video starts.
