He just fired one of his best friends (the S&C coach). Let his long time assistant, Manning, go, and people say he hasn’t changed anything on offense.
Personally I think he changed some offensive coaching structure, but he seems hesitant to trust his new offensive coordinator, this yrs offensive looks a lot like last yrs. Though we did run at least 1 successfull qb sneak today.

Sheelhaase was on the staff for the last few years so he’s not a “new” OC. It’s the same stuff as before as you point out. Tonight Colo St should have less talent but they are creative and seem more dynamic then we are

I can only imagine today is possibly one of the worst days of Campbell’s life…at least as his career goes. He is clearly stressed and frustrated…and he did not respond well. It will not be easy to move on from today. He’s about to find out a lot about himself…and we will too. Hoping for the best.
I for one welcome CMC to rock bottom.

I hope to hell he steps outside himself, has a good conversation with his spirit animal, and figures out how to change his approach and fix the gd mf offense.

LOL if you're implying Matt will be a candidate for any of them. Unless you're talking about coordinator jobs.
Not talking about him. I’m talking about this imaginary magical candidate coach that some on here think we’ll get after dumping Campbell. Folks here don’t realize we’re low on the totem pole for fresh talent

I didn't even hear what Campbell said. Anyone have the specific response?

Earlier someone said the guy yapping was also yapping at Players all game long. Allegedly Campbell said to the effect “you can yell at me, but don’t yell at the players”

If that’s true, then it makes it somewhat ok.

Protecting his players.

If anyone else has better info, please oblige

and csu has a freshman qb. Their routes are being hit in stride and they are playing much faster than us

Do you all realize this is a terrible look for ISU that our best coach and hottest candidate we’ve had in years, stays loyal to isu and says here. Then it bites him in the ass and no one wants him. Not a good look for isu more than anything else
No, not really. The only thing that's not a good look here is the coaching of this FB team, offensively in particular. Coaches at this level need to be able to handle criticism. Coaches know that they get paid for results, not past results.

At the current time and with the current product, Campbell is living off of his past successes. Fans are rightfully turning on him because he is stubborn and does not correctly perceive his faults.

He still has time to change, and will be given that time. But he will not change. This is the problem.

The only way for him to get off the hot seat is to make some radical changes. We'll see.
