Duke made things tough for ND by bringing pressure then they back off on 4th and 16 and get burned. Then they give up a TD.

Nothing worse than watching teams stop doing what put them in a position to win a game.

Duke letting that TD happen and giving themselves 30 seconds to try to do something on offense might have been better than allowing ND to completely kill the clock and kick a FG to win the game.

I mean if winning in the margins is counting on a team to have a 15 yard punt and then drop an easy interception then yes.
They keep games close into the 4th quarter, and then they make a couple of key plays and avoid the big mistake.

Ehh, maybe, but I’ve never been a fan of the “just let them score” idea.

But then, sometimes it seems like it might work (LSU-Ole Miss tonight was almost one example).
