Clemson's not that good, TCU and Baylor are irrelevant and have no bearing on the CFP race. Bama/Texas was boring as Texas is just flat out better than Bama.

I am talking unranked teams shaking up the CFP race. We haven't gotten anything from that point yet, nor have we really even gotten any scares.
This is a wild take. Clemson was still highly ranked and expected to be in the CFP or compete for it and they lost to a non ranked team. Texas just being flat out better then freeking Bama is very wild. TCU was in the championship last year and they lost to an unranked team. You might not be entertained but it’s been a wild start.

Disagree all you want @FriendlySpartan but point to me a crazy weekend of football we have had. We have had a game a week that's been good (again talking strictly for CFP purposes, as I don't care if Baylor who sucks loses to a G5 team). I am talking multiple ranked teams losing to unranked teams or several top-10 teams getting pushed by unranked teams. To each his own though.

At least most of the Big12 is mediocre to bad so we should have some winnable games. Sucks that in OUTs final year in the league they both look like the clear favorites. KSU is probably the only team that can keep one of them out of the championship game. Gross

Ya thinking about this sucks. They both will be laughing at the league during the B12 Championship.

How is any of that a wild start? Clemson losing to Duke was awesome until we found out Clemson is just ok and Duke is pretty damn good. That's not really an upset in hindsight. Again, I who cares about a TCU team that is clearly nothing like they were last year. They may lose here at home to WVU. Texas beating Bama was great, and I enjoy seeing Bama lose. The game itself wasn't that good though, as Texas pretty much beat them down.

Colorado coming back to beat USC today would have been an eye-opener and caused some chaos, as USC is in that small pool to make the CFP.

After McNamara went down, I immediately thought Iowa’s season was over…. but as I thought about it more…. even though Hill sucks pretty bad…. Iowa’s season will not matter one bit who is playing QB.

Their schedule is SO bad that they will still win at least 9 games with Hill.
I switched over and tried to watch most of the 4th quarter of the EIU game, the more I watch the Big easy conference, the more I am convinced that there is not a worst conference in the country for quarterbacks, outside of what Ohio State throws out there. The kid from MSU was horrible, the guy at Maryland is very good, Penn State and Michigan are OK, but the rest of the league is complete garbage.

We are starting a freshman QB, and I am not sure other than the kid at Penn State, that there are any others that EIU has to face this year that is even close to our kid.

There's been fun games but has any of this been all that surprising?

Really even Georgia losing wouldn't surprising since they've had close calls.

Again TCU isn't very good. They just lost at home to WVU and were never going to be a CFP threat this year. Clemson losing to then unranked Duke was great at the time, but a couple of weeks later, we realize that really wasn't much of an upset.

Look, not going to go back and forth with you all night because you have been thoroughly entertained and I haven't. Fun fact it's an opinion.

Easiest bet of the week was West Virginia covering that big spread. Should have taken them money line.

Kaliakmanis for the gophers. The boat rowers will still mess it up.

Bingo! Thank you. There are fun games every week, but I am strictly talking from a CFP impact. Colorado State/Colorado was fun as hell and I enjoyed every minute of it. Has zero stakes in the CFP though.

Edit: Should add yes Texas/Bama, FSU/LSU, Ohio State/ND certainly impact the CFP, and those were fun to see although only Ohio State/ND was really a good game. But they were all dents in the resume because any of those losers win out, they are in the CFP anyway. Had BC finished the comeback against FSU, that's what I am looking for.

Congrats to West Virginia and Neal Brown. Only loss they have is to Penn State and they played them tough until getting worn down in the 4th quarter.

Poor Pac. Seeing a Pac commercial with the Conference of Champion tagline is actually pretty sad since they are gutted.

Honestly we are lucky we are in the spot we are.

I also shake my head at fans who only care about the CFP. Man, I love exciting football games with fun endings, I don’t care if it’s Bama-Georgia or Boise State-Idaho. Wild games with unexpected things happening are fun - why do some people have to try to ruin it by saying, “well, neither of these teams wil sniff the playoff, why should I care”?

The playoff has a lot of good things going for it, but this kind of “fan” attitude is not one of them. Players and teams have all sorts of things to play for besides making the CFP - and fans should care about that, too. Otherwise nobody goes to the stadiums or watches the games of about 60 of the P5 teams and zero of the G5. Which would be a shame! Good football games involving teams with 2-3 records are still good, fun football games! It’s a shame some people don’t think so.
