He started his show off today talking about how good Purdy is. Not sure what you want out of him. Declare him best of all time?
He didn't in his podcast and never really has: https://spotify.link/WPCMnyegLDb

At best it's a qualified compliment. Great for the contract. Great within Shannys system. And even this is only recent. He said just a couple weeks ago how he didn't believe in "unathletic" QBs like Purdy. He drools over Hurts in comparison. He's had to adjust because Purdy hasn't screwed up yet and plays on a great team.

When Purdy has his first bad game (short of winning the Superbowl), he'll throw him under the bus, I'm pretty sure.

He loved Darnold for years. Now he’s backing up Purdy. Colin’s QB analysis is hot garbage.

Ehhhhh I wouldn't say that at all, and I am no Cowherd fan. Darnold was a miss on his part, and pretty much everyone else too, but nobody is perfect. He said coming out that Justin Fields was going to be a bust and to this point that is true, as well as Mac Jones not seeing what everyone else was seeing as far as potential and talent. Colin's takes on rookie QBs and how they will do in their NFL careers is no worse (and better than many) than all of the other talking heads you hear from.

Really shows how Manning really held Brock back

You probably should have been better with Brock_Star Montana Purdy. But he was with a little under powered team compared to Oklahoma for example. He elevated you guys. But they probably should have let him play more. Because he's obviously awesome.

Morning Rush was discussing Purdy and was very complimentary. They said he was obviously better than Lance and Jimmy G they had a caller on and when they mentioned him better than Jimmy the caller said Brock needs a Super Bowl first. I lol in my car.

No the **** he doesn't. But if / when Brock does get there he will sure not over throw a wr for game winning sb td like Jimmy did against KC.

Play more like play more snaps or play more like let him run around more?

He was a starter for 3 1/2 years but was handcuffed to the pocket too much. Perhaps it paid off but imo it got him thinking too much instead of just making the needed play which he seems to be much better at now.

This will be an interesting offseason for Brock. After this year he will have 2 years left on his rookie deal. You have to wonder if the 49ers will go the MLB route and try and get a young guy with a few years left on a rookie contract to sign a team-friendly extension. Brock doesn't seem like the hold out type, but I'd have to imagine at some point his pay becomes an issue.

It is amazing to watch how comfortable he is at the next level, compared to his later years at ISU.

And that is with a much faster game, confusing blitzes, and better coverage.

Gannon's NFL show on Sirius were saying he's essentially a top 5 QB right now, simply because they were pretty hard pressed to name 4 they would take before him.

Jones got $40 million per, $160 million total, from the NYGiants.

Purdy is going to get absolutely paid by somebody.

Oh yah, I know he will have his big payday. But he's got 2 years left on his deal. Are the 49ers content to just ride it out on that deal and let him hit free agency? Or are they going to try and lock him up now?

They can't even discuss it with him until after his 3rd season. It's part of the CBA. I've seen this mentioned multiple times as if they are taking advantage of Purdy and they might ditch him at the end of his contract. There is way too much time left to get worked about this.

Not sure anyone beats SF at their house.
I'm not sure it mattered. The NFC is pretty clearly Philly/SF then everyone else. The Cowboys beat up on a terrible Giants team, a Rodgers-less Jets team that saw Breece get four carries, lost to the Cardinals, and then beat up on a terrible Patriots team. Cowboys will still probably grab a wildcard spot cause after the top of the NFC it's pretty underwhelming, but they looked pretty awful last night
