A former Cyclone is starting QB of the best team in the NFL and is doing about as well as anyone could expect of anyone in that position. Can't we just let it unfold without trying to qualify or diminish that? It's an amazing story. Let's have some fun with it.
The fact that this locker room full of studs and future HOFs gave the last pick the C on his chest tells me all I need to know.

Hasn't Dan Orlovsky been pretty critical of Purdy saying it is the system and if you switched some of the struggling QBs in the league to the 49ers team they would be as successful as Purdy. He played in the NFL although most would argue the "high level" point.
He has sent a lot of mixed signals as well, so it is confusing. On one of the shows, he was visibly upset when Stephen A. Smith was critiquing Purdy and said Purdy is awesome.

It’s an ISU fan website, and Purdy, the best QB in school history, is playing at an elite level in the NFL. Nobody here thinks he has more talent than Mahomes.
But right now, he is having, through five games, a better season/performance than Mahomes. That doesn’t mean it guarantees a Super Bowl. It doesn’t guarantee that Mahomes won’t end up being the MVP this year.

If he turns into the next Brady/Mahomes, that’s amazing! If he’s a flash in the pan for a few years, it’s still fun to watch for now.
@deadeyededric is just pissy because people were talking about Purdy in the Chiefs thread. There hasn't been any mention of Purdy in the Chiefs thread since Monday so it should be a safe space to talk about Taylor Swift now without Purdy derailing it.
Might I suggest getting out and doing some things that aren't ISU-related.

Heck if he ends up being a journeyman back up for 10 years ala Chase Daniel I'll still be envious and we can all (well most of us) look back at what a ride he had with the given opportunity.
He won't be that. He's a very good player. He's here to stay in the NFL and I believe he will have an impact.
Look at the stats. He's already light years better than the whole career of Chase Daniel. Go look his stats up if you don't believe me. It doesn't hold a candle to Brock Purdy. Not even in the same category.

Amazing to me that we have, on an Iowa State fan site, a Cyclone fan trashing Brock Purdy, while a fan of the professional team that Brock plays for talking him up.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Her and Kelce can't break up soon enough. Tickets are unaffordable since she came around.
Sounds like he doesn’t like Brock or Taylor. Probably despises puppies and babies too.
Taylor is annoying, it's like a non-stop self promotion machine with her. Brock is great though.
