They literally could have ran the only play that worked for them and QB sneaked it 3 times and got into FG range.
I actually was surprised the foul wasn’t called right away. I looked at my wife and asked, “wasn’t he calling for a fair catch as he was running toward it?” I think he was trying to be sneaky and got caught.
Well, they do get Ill, NW and Rutgers along with Nebraska. so its not out of reach, but I still don't see them scorring more than 24 points against even the bad teams unless they get 14 points or from defense.

It would be absolutely gutting to lose that way...but GOTT DAYUMM!!! is it funny that it happened to Iowa.
They wouldn't have phoned in and reviewed it if there wasn't something there.
I probably would've been mad if I were an Iowa fan at the game, but Reggie Smith's explanation on TV was pretty firm

It’s the one thing you don’t do unless you’re fair catching it. Also explains why the 8 Minnesota guys right there didn’t tackle him.
If I was at the game maybe, if I didn’t have the same angle, but I was surprised he took off running, I was sure he called fair catch in real time.

Which could also have contributed to the run after catch. Kicking team thinks there's a fair catch and it's possible a guy lets up
